"My mind was recently changed about this place. It used to be my go to for food and pastries but the customer service recently has changed my point of view. My most recent experience was placing a phone order for pick up. The attendant was quick to cut me off to end the order instead of listening to the whole thing. I had to multiple times reiterate that I need to add more to the order. I completed the order and she repeated it completely and she hung up the phone without taking my name or giving me an time frame for pick up . I wasn't sure if the order was going to be processed so I called again to confirm. She repeated the complete order, took my name and gave me a time frame. I showed up she repeated the order again. I added a box of the older bread they sell to my order. I paid a little over $30 proceeded to pick my order. I got home and notice that there were many items missing from my food order. I called back and informed them of tje error. She advised that the order was given to me as ordered. I explained that I had called to confirm and the items were still missing. She insisted that there was no error on their part. I hung up as I did not want to argue. I tallied up the items I had... For the food items I had roughly $18 worth... I don't think the small box of bread was $15. It's sad that I had this experience, but itade me think of how many other have had the same happen here. Doubt I will return even though the proximity of the location is great along with the product offered. I will just take the "L" and move on."
"This place has been on fire. The burritos are always good and fully packed. Today was my first time buying their donuts. They have boxes/cases of random donuts for only $6.50, and they're all good. I recommend this place to all."
"If you are in the Montana Vista area and are looking for some yummy treats, visit this place, and you'll be pleasantly surprised!! Penguin bakery has a variety of mouthwatering selections of Mexican sweet bread and white bread. They have a full bakery, but there is also a small dining room that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
