"In search of the best chili relleno, we came here for late lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. Place was busy but they seated us right away. The complimentary chips were fresh, not oily, with just the right crunch. I’ve only had a handful of meals in El Paso, but this one is ranked number 1 at the moment. Ordered the relleno and chicken enchiladas with red and green sauce. It seems all the enchiladas are made as just cheese, then they add the desired protein(had yet to see it done this way). Will be back! Gave a 4 for atmosphere because we sat in the back corner which seems like a different place compared to main dining area, but still 5 star place."

"It was an authentic Mexican restaurant for sure. I was a little disappointed they did not have any seafood options. But my veggie fajitas were good. I honestly can't say more than it was a ✅ on the boys of places to try. Nothing more. No seafood"

"Came in on new year's day for a quick bite since most places were closed. Overall I would say the food is mediocre, nothing special but the service was great. I ordered the steak burrito with con queso from the recommendation of the server. The steak itself had plenty of flavor but there was nothing else inside the burrito. The con queso had some veggies but it wasn't to my liking. It was my first meal of the day so the spice did give me heartburn, but that's on me. Overall the food was mediocre at best."

"This fourth generation family owned business opened in 1927 is one of the highly recommended restaurant in El Paso and trust me it didn’t disappoint me at all. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is good. I highly recommend their green and red sauce it is soo good with the chips and I loved strawberry margarita it was good with a chilly powder giving sweet and spicing up every sip it’s a unique taste I have experienced. The green chili chicken enchiladas was upto the mark. Definitely recommend this place."

"I just had a dinner at L & J. The food is right and both of the hot sauce or really hot at all. Guacamole is just a avocado, smash with a little bit of added salt. Very surprising however, it’s different. I tried their signature Enchiladas with green sauce. It was different and I liked it."
