Básico Bistro Cafe

"Had been wanting to try this place for a while. When I went today Sunday Feb 25 at 10:30 am. It was only us and another table. 1st thing my daughter and I ordered was water and a Breve Latte for me. She must have had no clue because she asked me several times and I told her it was half and half and if it was even possible and she said yes. It was absolutely awful I took two sips and asked if I just could have regular coffee (nicely). We ordered the steak and egg 20$ platter to share it comes with 3 eggs steak and a side of pancakes. It did take a long while to get our food which was fine but the steak had no flavor and not being rude it really had no flavor. They never brought salt or pepper to the table and they gave us both butter knife’s and since the steak was so tuff it was almost impossible to cut. Not only that they only brought us 2 eggs instead of 3 and forgot our pancakes!! I did inform them about the eggs but told them we didn’t need the 3rd one. I did ask for our pancakes which they had to make so it was another wait. I didn’t say anything anymore since I felt defeated by then. I have to say with the things I did express the staff was not rude at all but they didn’t seem to think the whole disaster of my experience was even an issue. No apology was given except for the coffee. I will never go back not worth the price and nothing but the pancakes tasted good even the regular coffee was bitter. Such a cute little place but the look is totally deceiving. Would not recommend!!"

"Cute little joint!! Service was quick and very friendly! Our server was working by herself and still did a great job! Food was good, coffee tasted great and seating was nice! You do get a lot of food so be mindful of what you order or come with a big appetite!"

"They sat us very quickly as we came in. Gave us our drinks and food was delicious. The food was delicious: nutella banana pancakes, greek croissant, blueberry pancakes and my husband got the AM burger. They gave us free pancakes because the food took long to come in. I would return. Great to have more options for brunch in El Paso that is not so packed and affordable."

"A very delicious meal! My family went around 1 pm for brunch on a Sunday. All 5 of our diverse pallettes were very satisfied. The portions are pretty big and very filling. It is the normal price for brunch. The cheapest portion was about 13.00. Did not get a chance for bottomless mimosas, but the table next to us got on, and it looked pretty large to start! Also, the place was spotless. All our glassware looked absolutely clear and new out of the box. Definitely found a new favorite bruch spot. I can't wait to be back."

"I'm pleasantly surprised. Brunch outing the service was slow to get started, but it was well worth it. The basico chilaquiles with eggs over easy was flavor, spicy but not over powering and mouth watering. The portion size was bountiful, just right for a hard labored morning. The berries and cream waffles plating were eye pleasing. The tasted light and airy, delicious, melted in the mouth. The bacon was crispy and crunchy. The server was pleasant. She apologized for the slow service but was attentive after she introduced herself. I would definitely recommend this establishment for brunch. It was reasonably priced and a nice treat after church."
