"March 2023 picked to become one of Gary‘s “Jewel Parks.” Park is somewhat rundown now but is loaded with potential. It will be interesting to see what improvements are made. It is located next to the Boys and Girls Club, which will be part of a $30 million grant to create a wellness campus. The future is very bright for this area!"

"Tolleston Park is a good place to kick back and enjoy the afternoon with your children. There are swing sets, a jungle jim, slides, a playground structure, a gazebo with picnic tables, park benches, a basketball court, tennis court and more. My only concern is maintenance of the park by the city, however, the residents in the area come together to help clean up the park every week."
"I went to Tolleston Jr. High School from 1980-1982. It was a lot of fun and I have many fond memories from my years there. The water park is a beautiful addition to the community and the city as a whole. I wish that the park was better maintained, manicured and had a more inviting appearance. It could be a hidden jewel for the city."
