"Very difficult to communicate with. Staff has no idea whom the complaints are to be forwared to. First call i was told that i needed to speak with the engineer. I left message and recieved no response. Second time i called, the lady told me that she wasn't sure whom to direct me to but would foward my complaint. The third time i called, the lady told me that marvin whaley (superintendent) handled all complaints. Left message and still no response. The 4th time i called, i asked if there was a procedure or protocol for filling a complaint that I am not following because I am not getting a response. She said no that they just note the complaints and pass them on. I told her that it would be nice to have a courtesy call from someone to discuss my complaint. All of this took place in a 5 week period. On August 14, i received a voice mail from marvin stating who he was and that he would call me back later. It is now September 5 and haven't heard from anyone. They repaved the road and changed the pitch where 400 ft of road drainage goes right down my drive and eroding 1 foot trenches in drive and surrounding property every time it rains. There is forestry across the road and no homes. Why would you pitch the road so the drainage will erode the home owners property. When it rains. I have a river on my side of the road and nothing on the other side. The highway department doesn't think they have any customers except the county. No customer service at all. Might as well be speaking with a foreigner in Bangladesh. I would suggest that if anyone has a problem with the highway department to contact their county commisioner because you will get nothing from the highway department!!!! I think marvin whaley should start doing his job or be ousted."
