"What a beautiful cathedral. We did the self-guided tour and found that there were many points of interest with good signs and interesting information. Loved the 7th floor observation room and the art exhibit "Look for the Helpers" there."
"This place is amazing. It is definitely something you should check out if you’re in the DC area. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is there is a large portion that is currently under long-term renovation. the staining glass is the best I’ve ever seen today. Everything here is a work of art."
"Beyond beautiful!! I came here with my family just after Christmas, and we were in awe at all the stunning splendour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We especially liked the new "Now and Forever" stained glass windows, the Apollo 11 commemorative window with moon rock, and the incredible view of DC from the observation area several stories up. It is well worth what you pay for, so even with all those free museums on the Mall, you simply can't miss this one on your visit."
"The Washington National Cathedral is an enormous architectural marvel, capturing attention with its grand design. While the exterior lacks extraordinary features, the adjacent garden is a delightful surprise. Overflowing with vivid colors, the garden provides a tranquil haven where the pleasant sounds of chirping birds enhance the serene atmosphere. Although I haven't had the chance to explore the inside, the cathedral's the charming garden makes it a visit worth considering. But if you have time limitations this is not a must visit places"
"Absolutely gorgeous. Serene, calm, and simple - as far as cathedrals go. I was extremely and pleasantly surprised to see how empty it was - even during the Holidays. Plenty of parking, and absolutely wonderful staff helped show me some of the more intricate details around the main cathedral space. The individual stained glass windows are stunning! Make sure you get the additional tour and book to see all of it."
