"Update Jan 2024- I felt the need to update my previous review given the history of this USPS. Package issues being delivered on time still remain, however, with my most recent lost package, Jason, who is a supervisor here, has been calling me every single day with updates. They’re not the updates you want to hear but their updates, none the less. And if a manager has the guts to give you bad news, I should have the guts to write a good review. So with him around, it looks like this place will be taking some real accountability. Let’s keep it up and maybe later this year, I can update my review to 5 stars. Review from 2023- Not sure how a USPS Priority package that’s dropped in their Blue box outside at 5am doesn’t get scanned until 1130pm that evening but welcome to the Cedar Lake Post office, is my only thought."

"Had a package out for delivery last night that I need for a wedding today it will most likely not make it in time if they even try to “redeliver it” since they sure as hell didn’t try the first time. The driver lied and marked the package as unable to deliver no access to front door. I live in a town home and I saw him delivering packages to neighbors. It was late and dark I assume he was lazy and didn’t feel like doing his job. So mad."

"We’ve recently moved to Cedar Lake and haven’t gotten our mails for 3 weeks now. I’ve done all the forwarding mail services 2 weeks ahead of our move in date, but still haven’t gotten any mails either from our old address or the new address. We have time sensitive mails that needs to be addressed- I called USPS, talked to Sandy and she just gave me all the excuse that she could possibly think of when I follow up. First time I called, she answered very irritated with a sigh, she told me we didn’t have a mailbox, but we actually do. She got my number said the courier will call me, but didn’t. It’s been up even before me moved in. Next, she said our mail box is jammed, and insisting that we have mailbox 5 and I told her that’s not our mailbox, I told her the number and it’s not jammed because I go there and check everyday for the mail. She asked for my number again and said she’ll call me, I asked her who I need to speak to to investigate she said it was her. She said the regular courier isn’t there so she couldn’t ask her.. she said she’ll call I didn’t get a call back from her… I followed up again since I didn’t get a call back, she said the courier isn’t back yet so she didn’t have answers for me with a very irritated tone. I’ve been so patient and respectful dealing with her, with them but all she gave me was attitude and a sigh that seems like she didn’t like doing her job and just too lazy. I have high respect and appreciation for postal service people because they have such a hard job to do, my mother-in-law used to be a carrier for 15 years and she would tell us stories about her job there… i pray for Sandy to have a clear mind and a better attitude towards customers and would learn to love and enjoy her job. Because she doesn’t seem to or maybe she’s just dealing with some personal issues."
