"Used Carmel 14 years ago for financing and debt was paid. Carmel still has a lien on my property and am unable to contact anyone at Carmel to have lien removed."

"Don’t know how they even got my name. This company tried to scam me out of a substantial amount of money with constant harassing phone calls and letters. I told them numerous times that they had the wrong person. After a little research, I sent them a letter instructing them to never contact me again, also known as a “drop dead” letter. The harassment came to an abrupt halt. Look at the federal trade commission website. Also look at Clark Howard’s website. You as a consumer have rights that companies like this hope you are ignorant of."

"I’m not sure what kind of game you all at Carmel Financial Corporation, Inc have been playing over the past 20 years but you have met the right one. I would like to warn any and everyone who is considering this fraudulent, stealing from decent people, disgusting customer service business to please do business elsewhere. This corrupt corporation advertises that they can help build your credit with the purchase of a “credit builder loan” that allows you to pay monthly payments to a loan and then they report the good standings to the credit reporting agencies. What they fail to tell you is after you’ve paid, your loan will either disappear from your report meaning no change in your credit or they will allow you to pay in full, then close your account almost always causing huge drops in scores. When you contact the customer service center you will hear the same woman who sounds like she was fresh out of Lee Arrendale State Prison to tell you “Oh that’s the credit reporting agencies, that’s not us, they removed the accounts with no explanation!” That’s really what she says each time I called! She doesn’t know I own a credit repair company and have relationships with the same bureaus. This is a lie! They do not just remove accounts and close them without having notification from the company!!! If you were bamboozled by these horrible people, I beg of you to follow theses steps in getting them shut down!!! 1. Call the non-emergency police department and file a report implying fraud has been committed on your social from Carmel Financial Corporation Inc 2. File a complaint with the BBB, Better Business Bureau detailing how they lied and stole money from you. 3. File a complaint with the FTC against them for fraud. Your social has now been compromised due to Carmel Financial 4. Write detail reviews on all reviews sites. Yelp, Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc… 5. Call your local news channel and provide the story so that they will bring these awful people to the media! What you all are doing to hard working people trying to make a way for their families JUST LIKE YOU ALL is disgusting and you will be punished! I have already filed everything I’ve suggested and I will be calling Clark Howard and requesting an investigation!! You have tried and played the wrong hard working woman!"

"Do not use them! Beware! Worst thing you could ever do!!!!! The only employee name is Ashley. You ask to speak to another employee or to give you the first name of another employee and she tells that you don’t need to know the name that is irrelevant. You can pay every month. Your bill will never go down! If you are less than 30 days late, you will be harassed everyday with this Lady Ashley calling and leaving voicemails stating you need to pay your bill. These people team up with other companies such as selling water treatments. These water treatment systems are a scam as well. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU, if they are sending you a million. Pieces of mail about get a free 100$ gift card and they come to your door they are a scam because a good company does not need to do that because THEY KNOW THEIR WORTH!!!! The worst part of it is that come to find out they can put a lien against your home, WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE! Never once are you INFORMED, you only have what 3 days to return and back out of it apparently????? THEY KNOW IF ANYONE WERE TO BE AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS AND TERMS THEY WOULD NEVER HAVE ANY BUSINESS. They TARGET first time home buyers, our elderly, our disabled veterans, and many more! This business should not even be a business for the practices they conduct. Unprofessional."

"The WORST financial institution I've ever dealt with !!!! I chose to renovate my home for 0% interest for 12 months with Texas Concepts who uses Carmel Financial. The first bill didn't arrive until THREE months after I signed the renovation contract. This meant that in order to pay the loan off within the 0% interest period, I would only have these 9 months instead of 12 - first problem I had. Then, the bills all come with interested added so that you will NEVER know what you actually owe, except by your own accounting and/or by calling them every month to ensure. It's useless to go online because this will only show you your online payments. In retrospect, I wish I had NEVER ever gave them access to take money from my bank, because once they did this on the wrong date and even though they supposedly record the phone conversations, they won't use those recordings to prove they told you wrong. So, they took almost 3K a day earlier than the date I had the money in that account and then tried to take in the next day (even though they verbally told me they would NOT try again)!! Thankfully, my bank reimbursed me BOTH overdraft charges because I had the money elsewhere, but Carmel charged me $35 TWICE! Then, because I certainly never wanted that to happen again at the end of my 0% interest, I went online to pay the full amount and another charge was taken as well, so NOW I've overpaid almost 2k!! I called them on October 3rd 2015, when I realized I overpaid and they said it will take 10 days to process. I called again today, 9Nov2015, and NOW the tell me it takes 4 weeks?? Who knows if/when I'll get my money back from this extremely shady, poorly managed corporation."
