"The way my case was handled has really weighed heavily on my mind. There are several issues that keep going through my mind. One issue is that the outcome that occurred was not explained in the beginning as a possibility. I was told I had a solid case. I was hesitant about filing anything and informed Adam of that. Now, after spending just under $5,000, the case is dead in the water. I've sent a few emails to Adam that have been left unanswered. I'm left to assume that since the case is dead in the water that Adam doesn't care to spend any time on the phone with me because he doesn't want to charge me anymore. Adam edited the original filing multiple times, which of course cost me more. Why wasn't the filing written up that way from day one so it wouldn't cost me more and more? To spend all this money to never have my day in court is astonishing to me. In all my years, I've not spent this much on an attorney to accomplish absolutely nothing. I feel I not only was wronged by a former employee, but, also, Adam failed me terribly. Five thousand dollars is quite alot of money to spend on an attorney I never even met."

But from what I understand these cases rarely go to court because the laws regarding real property are so well established and grounded in precedent that it usually only takes intervention by legal counsel to tune someone up if they are messing up. However, the other guy was a real knucklehead and he wanted to take it all the way. Adam Sworden gave sound advise before we ever knew it would go to court. Once we realized we were going to court he was completely prepared. Not only was he prepared, but he took great care to ensure I was prepared to be deposed by the opposition as well. He anticipated where the opposing counsel was going to try to steer the dialogue before the court date ever came up. Watching and listening to him handle the other side in court was absolutely enjoyable; and no one enjoys going to court. Seeing the long face on the other guy made it so worthwhile when court adjourned that day. We had to wait for a verdict, but everyone knew who won before we walked out of the courtroom. Then the knucklehead tried to claim poverty and say he could not pay the damages the court ruled that he was liable for. That did not stand either.
