"I've never written a review before, but after my first session with Tomo I couldn't believe she didn't have more reviews and I felt compelled to contribute. I have been in search of someone that could work out my muscle tension since I moved to Indy 3ish years ago. I've been to just about every massage place in Indy and the surrounding areas for deep tissue and left pretty much every appointment disappointed. That was, until I visited Tomo. First of all, Tomo is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and at ease with her. She is so thorough in her assessment and I really felt like she listened to me. She was also completely non-judgmental which I really, really appreciated. But boy, when the actual manual work began is when my mind was REALLY blown. She quickly found my tender spots without any direction from me and got straight to work on them. She also found and worked out trigger points I wasn't even aware I had. After a delightfully painful trigger point therapy, she began working with me on specific muscle activation techniques to help correct what has been causing me pain. And then because nothing good can last forever, the session ended and she charged me arguably not enough for the pure magic she worked. It's been a few weeks now, and my pain has significantly reduced. I usually get muscle tension-related headaches several times a week, and I've only had one. My shoulder pain is much better. My back pain has lessened. And this is all after just one session! I can't imagine the improvements we'll be able to achieve with consistent visits. To sum this all up, I am now a Tomo customer for life. And if you give her a chance, I have a feeling you probably will be too."

"I cannot say enough good things about The Tomo Touch and Tomo Shimano! I had a foot injury from running in a parking lot with the wrong shoes at an exercise class, and a medical foot specialist decided I had tendonitis or a stress fracture. I spent about $2,000 getting an x-ray, an MRI, a walking boot, and eventually, special insoles for my shoes...but they still couldn't clearly and definitively diagnose me. After three weeks, my injury wasn't improving, and the doctor suggested giving me a shot and wanted to put me on anti-inflammatory and pain medication. In the meantime, I was in so much pain that I spent a few days on crutches. As a result, my neck started to hurt, so I called Tomo to see if she could help with the neck pain. While I was there, I told her about my foot, and she worked on my leg, noting that the muscles were incredibly tight. After a single visit, I was remarkably better and able to spend a full week out of the boot and without the pain I'd been in for so long. After a second visit, I can safely say that I am 99% cured of this injury. Tomo is extremely well-educated and well-trained, and she really knows what she's doing. In fact, from now on, whenever I have an injury of any kind, I'll be calling her first. She's the only one I trust to resolve injury and pain without medication (side effects, yuck!) or surgical intervention.
