"I tried 2 weeks in a row calling the office leaving vmails to get something scheduled. I never received a callback and now I just tried calling again and its saying the number has been disconnected. I get things happen but communication is key and considering this profession you should always follow thru u never know the state of mind the person reaching out is in. in this case I was trying to schedule for somebody that for years has been against therapy now they finally are open but had specific preferences African American and a male, which was very hard to find. they are still interested so I am still on the search I just wanted to share this though because it really discouraged me to an extent."

"I am grateful to receive counseling through Minds Empowered Counseling Services. I want to publicly show appreciation for my therapist Maureen Hall. She has been very helpful and vital to my progress and success as I seek therapy, and I wouldn't want nobody else. I appreciate her alot and I will continue to meet in her sessions and grow a great relationship with her. Thank you Maureen for giving me more perspective and helping me understand my worth and getting me together mentally."

"I was in a bad space mentally and has to find a new therapist because my insurance changed. I knew the owner of Minds Empowered and reached out to her immediately. I explained and gave her my insurance information. I thought she had forgotten but she messaged me a few days later with an appointment. My therapist Christa Hill was very intuitive and easy to talk to. Even though it was my first session with her, it didn't seem like it. She was very relatable to what I was experiencing. Right now I'm in a good place but I'm continuing my therapy to learn coping mechanisms for my triggers and Christa is helping me with that. I love that she's available when I reach out. I'm very grateful for Minds Empowered."

"I’ve been with Minds Empowered Services for a while now, and my experience with it has been alright. The first session I had wasn’t too great though, mainly because I wasn’t assigned a therapist at the time. Then, Christa got assigned to me. Christa is very kind and patient with me, and I feel comfortable enough around her to open up about my problems. She’s sort of starting to feel like an aunt/mother figure for me. She’s funny, a bit blunt, and encourages me to go after my current passions. I’m very glad she’s my therapist."

"I guess most of these reviews has to be close friends and family. My experience was with Joyce, and she was very unprofessional not returning calls or messages. I told her my plans on how I wanted to receive help and once I got the ball going on my end she went ghost for a week. Not only did she put my job in Jeopardy she also ignored them reaching out to her just for conformation that I was being seen by her. A heads up (I'm out the office until) would have made sense. Then had the nerves to call me a week and a half later like nothing happened. I don't recommend seeing her I don't know about the other ladies working there hope they're not like her. It bothers me that I said a lot doing the 1st session and this person acts as if the issues I was having wasn't serious. I'm getting help but elsewhere now with someone who actually cares about they clients. To who all reads this review I explained to Joyce what I was going through I explained to her the steps I wanted to take before and after our session she agreed with me and told me that was a good idea and was willing to help and assist me with my issues. If it took 3-4 day a week for sessions I was willing to do that. I'm glad I've found someone willing to help me the right way and just not all talk. She is bad business."
