"In the very beginning before Midwest switched buildings it was nice. It all went downhill from there. I attended Midwest and they put me academically behind for the grade I was in. My mother unenrolled me and put me back in public school and I was completely lost due to Midwest not teaching what students need to know to be successful. This school doesn’t prepare you and makes you fall behind. I can’t stress enough how furious I am that I never learned the material I needed and struggled in school due to not being taught what academically needs to be taught. Overall I would NOT recommend this school to anyone and the price for your Child to attend here is outrageous."

"For my son and our family, Midwest Academy has been life changing. The supportive learning environment, coupled with the willingness of the administrators and staff to cooperate with outside support partners (for us Access ABA) have made the difference for us. We have been at Midwest Academy since the fall of 2015 and honestly it was the best decision we have made for his education and life. The firm but caring and supportive environment is exactly what he needed. His progress in education and maturity has been incredible. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful school that uses progressive learning for those with learning differences and behavioral challenges. Learning is tailored to the unique needs of the students enabling them to grasp and apply what they have learned in a non-traditional, non-threatening environment. Midwest Academy administrators and staff truly care about the students and families of MWA. The school instills character values in the students like no other school I have been involved with. Every year the entire school participates in "Community Week " where students, staff, and parents spend the entire week volunteering at various local nonprofit organizations including food banks, therapeutic riding centers, homeless shelters, humane societies etc. The impact on the students, staff, and families who participate in the activities is as profound as those who are served. This is my favorite week and I look forward to participating every year. If you have a child with Autism, anxiety, or learning differences that is struggling in school, I suggest you contact the school to see if Midwest Academy can help your child and your family."

"My son attends this school and it was a big decision for our family, as we live in Columbus, IN. The transition was difficult, as they always are for him because of his autism, but the benefits were almost immediate. His demeanor and ability to participate in the world have changed dramatically. I have noticed the changes in him, but what stands out to me is when we see someone who hasn't seen him in a while. The comments from others about what they see prove to me that we made the right decision. He is thriving and our family is better because of this school. I cannot wait to see what he can accomplish with the help of this amazing staff. They always put students first, and that makes all the difference in the world."

"We had a terrible and costly experience here. Bait and switch. We were completely forthright about attention and learning challenges. They observed & evaluated my son, he shadowed, we provided IEP & medical details. They said they could help him and it would be a good fit. In meetings after we committed, headmaster was unbelievable on multiple occasions. Don't bank on a scholarship or any soft promises. As of 2017, in my opinion, they were ill-equipped to help kids with special needs. I found out many teachers at that time weren't trained in special needs. Yet, they were heavily promoting to the autism community at that time. Note, my son is easy going, sweet with no behavior issues. He is now thriving in another school that does what they promise for kids with learning issues. By the way, it's cheaper and same class sizes. We fulfilled our commitment and kept him there the full year trying to make it work despite the constant issues and having to pay more than expected. I've come to find out we weren't the only ones."
