Ascension St. Vincent Warrick

"On October 7, 2023, my boyfriend was discharged from St Vincent Warrick Hospital after being diagnosed with a femur fracture on the right. He spent the night of October 6, 2023 in significant pain. He was asked his pain level per the 1-10 pain scale and was asked if he was sure what his pain level was several times before being told that 2 extra strength Tylenol 3 x's daily as needed should have him to tolerable pain level. After telling the doctor how much pain he had been in the previous night she also ordered tramadol for any pain beyond what Tylenol took care of. He was discharged at 3:42 PM....hours after our pharmacy locally was closed. When we called the hospital back and asked them to call the prescription to a pharmacy that would be open tomorrow and after a lengthy hold we were told he would simply have to take Tylenol until MONDAY when the pharmacy opens up. Nothing to be done about it. His FEMUR IS FRACTURED. Is this really happening? I certainly hope that we have a better experience with Tri State Ortho. I was recently injured and prescribed hydrocodone. The pharmacy didn't have enough pills to fill my prescription and neither did 2 other pharmacies. But eventually we found one that did. It took 4 different transfers by ER doctors who made 4 different calls to get me my meds. Warrick County can't make 1 extra call to ensure the comfort of the only patient they had for a good part of the afternoon? Seems more like an office full of lazy people to me."

"We had an Echo done here. The tech and the equipment were excellent. The vibe in Warwick is less rushed. Warrick is good for non-life threatening issues."

"I had a knee replacement done here and the staff was fantastic. Med Tech named Candy on night shift was exceptionally professional. All the facility was extremely clean and wellmaintained. My surgery was done in the most modern of ways with a robic assistant. I highly recommend this hospital."

"Communication with the nurses and social services was good. There was an issue with mom's meds that was addressed immediately. As far as visitation, no one informed us that there were specific visiting hours. A pamphlet of some sort explaining how the unit is run would have been helpful. But overall everyone was good about answering questions and letting us know how mom was progressing."

"Check in process was quick. Staff was fast and friendly. Nurse Jean was amazing. She was kind as well as professional.She popped my IV right in. She deserves a raise. Dr. Reagan was thorough as well as kind. She took the time to answer my questions. She also took the time to find out from the pharmacist as to what medication I could take do to having so many allergies."
