"0/10 would not recommend. The hospital is extremely dirty, the furniture is old and dirty, you can see the floors are dirty in a picture I added as well. We delivered our first child here and the experience is somewhat comparable to a 1940’s prison. The stirups on the bed in room 6011 were broken before my wife even laid on the bed. Nurses didn’t know until she was already in labor. That floor has no vending machines or food. All they have is water and coffee, however they were out of coffee all weekend. The cafe closes at 6 so you are on an island there. We got to our room on the 4th floor and the room was disgusting. They clearly did not clean the room. There were tags in the floor from clothes from who ever was in there before us. Food crumbs, trash was half full and the bathroom was filthy. On day 2 they finally agreed to get house keeping, but she never touched the bathroom which still had hair in it from who ever was there before us. The chairs and other furniture is all clearly tattered and torn. It’s also dirty as well. The cafeteria was finally open the next morning and the food was very limited. They only had a quarter of the daily menu out once you got there for lunch. Asked the lady if we could please have fries and she did not care to really make any apparently after she ignored us for 10 minutes. It was also bland. We asked for salt and pepper and that seemed to be an issue. Even the chairs in the waiting areas are gross and dilapidated. I’m not sure if it’s a supply chain issue, bean counters cutting costs in the wrong areas, or that they just don’t care. However, this place is completely gross. They need to hire an outside cleaning team at this point. And learn how to actually run an operation. I would give these losers a zero star review if possible. Community? More like they need Immunity from gross neglect. Update* They did send some lady with a Karen haircut named Rose (more like a wilted one) to our room to speak with us after contacting them through the website in the reply below. Not only is she in denial at how disgusting the experience was, but nothing was done about it. Not even an apology. Do not go here unless it’s absolutely your only option. Pick a better hospital, it’s not hard because this is literally the worst hospital in the entire country."
"The care at this hospital has declined DRASTICALLY! Barely any of the nurses are friendly, they are rough nd show that they don't even want to be there. So why intentionally choose a profession like this just to be rude nd rough is beyond my understanding. The side conversations, playing, irritation when you have questions, barely introducing themselves when they enter your room just so many things wrong that sums it up to horrible bed side manner. I don't care how far I have to drive I'm as good as dead if going here for an emergency. I will not be back."
"Subject: Frustrating Experience I wanted to share my recent experience at your hospital. I visited the hospital today via ambulance and unfortunately, my experience was quite frustrating. Upon arrival, I was directed to the waiting area where I had to wait for several hours. I understand that emergencies happen and that there are patients with severe conditions who need immediate attention. However, I was informed that I would have to wait longer because other patients in more severe conditions would be prioritized. This left me feeling confused and concerned because my condition had not yet been properly assessed, and it seemed unfair to determine the severity without obtaining my test results. Furthermore, during my time in the waiting area, I requested some ibuprofen for my aches and pains, as well as some water to stay hydrated. Unfortunately, my requests were refused. While I can understand the hesitation regarding the administration of medication, I found it difficult to comprehend why a simple request for water was denied. I must admit that this experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I believe that the way I was treated may have been influenced by factors such as my gender, age, and the color of my skin. It is disheartening to think that discrimination played a role in my care. I wanted to bring this matter to your attention in the hopes that it can be addressed and improvements can be made. As a patient, I believe in open communication and transparency, and I hope that my experience can contribute to a better understanding of patient needs and concerns."
"I was 6cm dilated and had a very healthy pregnancy. I’m 21, plant based diet, super healthy and denied blood work because of my beliefs and I don’t give blood. I wanted to labor naturally, I was very low risk. The OB told me it wasn’t my choice to not NOT get blood work done regardless of my religious background and said “ I’m not doing this either you get the blood work or you leave” and cut me off mid sentence and left the room. Very discouraging to hear as a first time mom and my husband was in the room. He kept my spirits up and we transferred to northwest porter where doctor Rutherford gave me an amazing birthing experience and let me have full body autonomy the whole way! Some people are rude for no reason. Don’t let it discourage you though! Let my testimony be encouraging. If you’re a natural person like me I wouldn’t reccomend coming here. Very rude I must say :(."
"I arrive at community hospital after suffering 3rd degree burns to my foot. The emergency room was packed and they did not have any rooms available. However, that did not stop them for providing exceptional care. Everyone from intake, to the nurses and the emergency room Doctor all proved that Community Hospital employ extraordinary people that will provide extraordinary care! Thank you for taking care of me in my time of need!"
