"Enjoyed my time there for a party. We were able to have space for large and small group conversation and activities as well as our own live music. Families could rent campsites to stay the night and enjoy fishing and nature walk with kids in the morning. Perfect setting to get away without traveling far and re-connect with friends and family."

"All is can say is Wow! I’m a self admitted diva when it comes to my outdoor time. Living in downtown chicago I often need to get away from it all and when I do I want everything to be perfect! I don’t want to see another person and I want my alone time to connect with nature. For me solitude is key. This place gave me that. I spent the day enjoying the land and lake and just relaxing in quiet away from the hub bub of city life. The land and sites are impeccably clean and Eric was very friendly and responsive. I’m already planning my next trip back!"

"Had a great "boys weekend" away primitive camping with some family. The lake gave the kids lots of entertainment, especially with the provided kayaks and canoes. Everyone enjoyed the catch and release fishing. We would definitely stay again!"

"We were looking for a quiet, private place to take our dogs for their first primitive overnight camp. This property is absolutely perfect for what we wanted! We stayed in the last spot, lot #5. Each lot has beautiful gravel and a new fire pit + picnic table. Lots #1 and #5 have the most grass area, where we were able to pitch a tent. There was a gravel roadway from the front of the property all the way towards the lake. It was a beautiful walk to the lake and our dogs absolutely loved swimming. The property was very peaceful and quiet. The port o potty was clean. The only negative comment I can think of is that there were very hard weeds in the grass area which punctured the bottom of our tent. So if you are tent camping, I'd say a pad or tarp beneath your tent is a must. We loved our overnight at Brightstone and would love to come visit again!"

"I have loved every visit. Great place to retreat with friends and family for a day in the outdoors. This accessible lake is perfectly private for gatherings. Although I love kayaking, ice skating, and fishing my favorite may be just enjoying good company and good atmosphere around the beachside campfire and waking the mile loop around the lake."
