"I always go to this location to visit family that live just in town. The owner is such a sweetheart and she knows who I am every time I come to town and always asks about my family. My family and I have been going to this location since I was a small child. Now I bring my own children. The staff has always been kind and friendly. I enjoy the jet tub rooms. The tubs are very relaxing after a long day with family. It has changed hands and over the years and has changed its name. I know they didn't have such great service before but now the new owner has always been amazing. I'm hoping to see some new changes in the future like a nicer breakfast selection, maybe new furniture/bedding/pictures/decor, better parking lot, etc. I'm sure if business picks up they will be able to make these changes considering the amount of money that would be needed for those things. I will definitely keep going here in the future when visiting family."
"The only thing that was good about this place, was the location. The floor was dirty and not vacuumed, The sheets to the bed had small bits of food in it, Hair and toenail clippings were found in and around the bed, Hair and bar soap pieces in the Jacuzzi bath, and the Seats to the small table for the dining room had dirt and debris on them. Ive heard of things not being ideal over there, but definitely didn't believe it myself until I was there. Do Not Recommend!"
"Room was okay could have been cleaner but the staff was horrible. Tried to tell me I couldn't have a room because I have my service dog with me. When I explained he couldn't do that, he argued with me untill I said inwas gonna call the cops. Night time lady was great"
"We've been going to this location for years. While the area continues to change, the hotel remains the same. It is a quaint Inn with average rooms, clean baths, & comfy beds. You have a free continental breakfast & the location is very quiet, though the walls are a bit thin if there are kids running about upstairs. Each room has a refrigerator & coffee maker, with a large TV. We keep coming back, but the rooms could use a bit of upgrade with the AC/heat units (at least in the room we had). It was a pleasant stay in a clean room & hotels are NOT plentiful in the Rockville area. I would recommend the Inn if you are staying in the area! With everything there is to do in Parke County, you won't be at the hotel very long!!"
"Absolutely horrendous experience is the only way to describe this stay! First thing that pissed us off was being called by the front desk only an hour after walk in, to tell us to stop running around because the guy below us complained that we sounded like a herd of elephants. WE WERE WALKING NORMALLY! No one was running. We were walking barefoot and there were 5 of us. Well duh, of course people below would hear us. I have been to plenty of multi level floor motels that have had people above us. Yes sometimes it's annoying but it's life! I don't rudely call the front desk to ask them to call a room to ask them to stop walking around! It did not justify the rude AF call telling us we can't walk around. Well sorry we need to walk to the bathroom to I don't know, use it? Are we supposed to pee our pants or pee the bed because walking to the bathroom (and there are 5 of us) is too noisy for the old crotchety person (front desk told us it was an old guy who was complaining) below us?? Strike 1. Next day we walk in and first thing out out of the front desk guys mouth is yelling at my kids not to run up the steps! Um hello? We didn't even make it all the way in the door before the kids are getting rudely warned not to do something like he thinks all kids are trouble and are gonna automatically run around. My kids didn't even use the dang stairs, we used the elevator. Strike 2 Day after that (we stayed 5 days because I was visiting my dying dad) we come in and are waiting by the elevator and my daughter goes to the breakfast area counter to get a straw for her cup and same guy rudely yells at her to stop messing with stuff!! SHE GOT 1 DAMN STRAW! I had enough and told him to stop yelling at my kid because she wasn't messing with things as he rudely yelled at her, all she did was get 1 straw for her cup of water. Strike 3! The last night we walked in after having spent the entire day with my dad on his death bed, never any greetings each night asking how our day was, just yelling about the kids coming in. Strike 4. How about a nice greeting to your guests when they first come in instead of rudely yelling at kids? It would be one thing if they were running up and down the halls rampant and screaming or running down the halls banging on people's doors. But all they did was sometimes walk energetically to the elevators. There might have been one night they walked in and said something loudly which we quickly reprimanded and told them to use their inside voice. They're kids for Pete's sake. I would understand if they were acting wild and crazy and not listening to us when being scolded to quiet down, then maybe I can understand the front desk yelling at the kids, but this was not the case. Every night we walked in the door instead of a nice greeting, it's immediate disdain for kids and scolding. Multiple days in a row our keys didn't work and after making new ones still didn't work. Had to make keys 3 nights in a row! Breakfast is an absolutely joke. Stale donuts, bread to make toast, and cereal, That's it!!! I had to on numerous occasions asked them to replenish stuff because there was not enough food for our family and had to do this multiple days in a row and we were the only people at the motel 2 of the days! They put such little amounts at a time. I got tired of having to ask them to put stuff out. I would understand if we showed up with only 5 or 10 minuets til they end but there was still 1.5 hours left! WiFi is slow as snails!! Everything is very old, out dated, and dirty. Stains all over hallway carpets. Unvaccumed hallway carpets. We chose this place and was willing to pay quite a bit more that the other very few choices of motels in town, because they had a pool, but of course the pool was as dirty and outdated as everything else. It was mostly draiend and full of algea. For almost 100 bucks a night after taxes) I don't expect a 5 star place but I expect more than flea bag rent by the hour quality. If you are a big family with young kids avoid this place at all costs because they don't seem to like kids!"
