"Great tour! Tour guide was very informative and was dressed in historical period piece clothing. He was able to discuss Washington Irving the author and give unique architectural details of Irving's Sunnyside house. When it was constructed it was on the preeminent houses in the US. Home to the great American author who wrote "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." As the tour guide explained Irving was probably one of the first Americans to make a career out of writing. The views from the house and surrounding property are very nice. No photography is allowed inside the house on the tour. Some furniture and clothing inside are original to the house. Many rooms in the house have a unique history to them. The tour lasted a little under an hour. Staff was helpful and friendly."

"A babbling brook, a charming home, a step through time. Our tour guide was simply perfect. Full of historical facts and great tales of romance. Washington Irving would have been proud of how his story was told."
