"I stayed here about 8 months with my 2 children back in 2015. It is a very nice shelter. Very clean, up to date, and they have everything you need in a crisis situation. You can stay as long as you need to. Most of the staff there are friendly and comforting and professional. They offer classes and resources to help get you back up on your feet after leaving an abusive situation. My favorite was their Embracing Empowerment class. The course is 12 weeks -I think. It was eye opening for me and much recommended. However this place is only intended for a temporary stay. When I was staying there it was really over crowded -and after a while some of the other residents there especially the ones that have been living there for 2-3 yrs tend to be favored towards and there can be drama. You also got to be very careful how you handle your children because staff will not hesitate to call cps over about any incident. I understand though they do have a job to do to protect everyone. If you already have an open investigation or have a court case going on prior to checking in -you're probably better off going someplace else sooner rather than later. Staff and residents alike will be harder on you and will keep tabs depending on your history. They will watch for you to make any mistakes and consider you as untrustworthy. Don't get me wrong I loved my stay there but there was also some downfalls too. It certainly outweighs staying with an abuser though. This place was my haven for a little while and my stepping stone out and away from my abuser. I still would recommend this place to anyone trying to leave an abusive and dangerous situation."

"This is the worse place ever! After they Kick me out they keep (steal) all my baby stuff that I have buy with my own money and then they we’re saying that they give it to me! And that wasn’t true! All I got for my baby was belong to me because I bought it with my own money! The only honest and good person that works there are Cassie and holly !( they are advocate there) God bless them so much!"
