"Ive been going to Suns on and off for years. The only reason I ever stopped going is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have NO IDEA why my brother and nana still go there. But sadly my brother wanted to go there for some reason instead of somewhere else. Everything was normal. Till I realized I had forgot my wallet trying to order a pint of Benchmark whiskey. The older grey haired heavy set man, in a baseball cap with glasses resting upon his big nose, vocally pushed me out the door... I can not over estimate the "teenage girl" attitude on this man. Saying I shouldn't even be in the building AFTER I told him id be back in 10 minutes, that's good service right? So I got my ID from home and drove back there just to remind him who I am and why I don't go there. Only to receive more teenage girl energy. Dudes been there for over 2 years don't know why."

"This place is owned by an old couple. They are awesome people who are very friendly and absolutely a joy to be around. They always joke around and make the customers laugh. They also have a great selection of wine and spirits. I absolutely recommend patronizing Sun Liquors."

"I’m originally from the area (30 year resident), but have also lived in Texas and Southern California for over 30 years. Yes I’m an older guy! I come back to this area every year to visit family and friends. I found this liquor store last year and liked the large selections and the women who work or own the store were friendly. However the guy who works the cash register at night was somewhat rude to me last year on multiple occasions. I had told him I was currently from So Cal & he made negative remarks about Nancy Pelosi. I blew his comments off. However on this visit, I took my debit card out of the machine too soon, and the guy was downright nasty in a personal way: he told me that he remembered I was from California and so therefore knew I did not know how to read!!!!! He was miffed that I had to redo the transaction. And he let me know once again that when he thinks of California he thinks of Nancy Pelosi! I don’t believe that an employee or store owner should insult a customer just because of where they live. In addition I never discussed my political persuasion, so he obviously doesn’t know that you should never judge a book by it’s cover! I will never go back and due to my experience, friends/family here In Hobart and Portage , as well as Hammond, and Lowell, will also no longer be frequenting the establishment when they come to Hobart. Ironically my friends and family are a mixture of Republicans and Democrats! I rarely write negative reviews, and I have written numerous positive reviews when warranted. But I had to do this because this guy is over the top."

"Upon entering im pretty sure cash guy said get out even though they are open. Finished my purchase gave him a friendly good bye with snuff back at me. Been a few times before. Some lady will sit behind the register chanting leave, get out and a bunch of other stuff under her breath but loud enough to hear. Seems this store needs to find some new employee's that can great a customer formally and actually want customers to even come in."
