"She is extremely unprofessional and if you have any issues related to your pregnancy she will blame you for them. Also her attitude and her employees attitude are absolutely horrendous. They made my husband and I feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome! Do not go to her! She also lied about having a hospital to deliver at and I found out that she does not! They are extremely catty and unprofessional! 10 out of 10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!"

"Unfortunately, I can never recommend Heather Skanes. As a transfer patient, I was referred to Oasis at 6 months pregnant. Heather did not tell me until AFTER MY BABY DIED that she never got a clear view of my ultrasound photo from the previous OB. To make matters worse, I requested an ultrasound twice, in my 2nd & 3rd trimester, which she denied me for no reason. All she had to do was book the appointment, not even conduct the ultrasound herself. Turns out, my daughter had an enlarged heart that could have EASILY been detected. It has been 20 months, and Heather never called back with the lab results to determine the medical factors of my stillbirth. After telling me my daughter died, she had the audacity to say “we did the best we could with the information we had.” Knowing good and well she did not even have the proper diagnostics for 4 months. I waited over 1.5 years to leave this review, to ensure that it wasn’t postpartum depression or me being emotional. Nope. To this day, it is increasingly clear that “Dr.” Heather Skanes is very much a reckless and scatter-brained practitioner, she barely sleeps, and is consistently overbooked. To the point that she pushed my final ultrasound appointment out an extra week because she was literally overbooked. I was already 40 weeks, when she rescheduled my appointment. If she cared more about the quality of patient care, as opposed to making more money and seeing more patients, baby Amara would be here today. It’s giving MALPRACTICE."

"The staff was polite. However Dr. Skanes bed side manner sucks. She walked in the room with my daughter and I and act like I was invisible. This was the first time she had been to see a gynecologist and she even asked, “mom why did she do you like that?” It really wasn’t about me more so she made my daughter full uncomfortable."
