"Your time is not valuable or important to the office staff or doctor. Everytime I go I'm in the waiting room at least 45 minutes before getting called back. It was 1:20 minutes before Dr. Hurd entered the room. He only spent 5 minutes in the room, 1 of which he was checking his phone, reading a text and responding... While in the room after I'd been waiting over an hour. Complete disregard for the patients time. 1:20 for the doc to rush you out in 5 minutes. While you wait and wait and wait you also you get to hear the doctor and nurses have a 10 minute gossip and giggle session in the hallway between every patient. Maybe if they spent less time having a socal meeting they would get to rooms faster. Yes more time is spent joking around in the hall than in your room with you. If you mention to any staff about your wait they don't even listen, will cut you off with excuses about "it depends who here" when it's the same ever single time you go. No "I'm sorry you had this experience we'll see what we can do to improve this, I'll let the people in charge know" nope. I am too far into my pregnancy I'm not sure if another doctor will take me this late. But just be warned before you start here, your time/ your schedule does not matter to anyone at this office. You will wait as long as they want and they expect you to be happy about it."

"He's completely Incompetent. I get perinatal depression in my last trimester happened with my first and it happened with my second. This is a short term disorder and requires short term treatment. He prescribed me Zoloft which takes 3-4 weeks to take effect. I would have a week left by the time that kicked in and that's assuming it does work. That was not good enough for me and I left the office not happy. They sent the police to my house (if the officer is a certified mental health officer they can involuntarily commit you) saying I made suicidal ideations. Luckily my husband is a deputy and explained the situation to the officer. If your pregnancy is not perfect you will have problems with this doctor. My best advice find a new doctor. This one is very incompetent."

"I had a textbook, perfect, healthy pregnancy. Dr hurd gave me an ultrasound at 36 weeks (which I later found out isnt even necessary) and saw that baby looked small. He immediately decided he was going to induce me not even a week later. He never presented it as a choice or listened to my concerns. He ordered 1 additional stress test (no additional ultrasound or anything) and everything came back perfect and normal. Regardless, he went ahead with inducing me. Baby came out 3 lbs heavier than what he guessed. But struggled for weeks with the affects of being induced early, and made the birth traumatic for me as well. He mentioned being induced several times earlier in my pregnancy and knew it was against my wishes. Not only was he grossly incorrect in medicine, but he was insensitive, rude, and unkind. His choice of conversation not even 1 minute after birth was what birth control he was giving me in 6 weeks. He was LATE to my very active labor. At my 6 werks checkup he invited 2 other college students to watch me have an IUD inserted without even asking my permission to such a private appointment. All around a terrible doctor. Protect this sacred moment in your life and find someone better! I wish I had!"

"Dr. Hurd is an excellent doctor and a skilled surgeon. When I first moved to the area, he came highly recommended. I've been seeing him for 5 years and he delivered my youngest via c-section, and more recently performed a partial hysterectomy on me in which he left one single tiny scar above my belly button. Just one! I have been impressed by his knowledge and expertise, his kindness and friendliness, and his bedside manner."

"My wife was having contractions every 5 minutes for over 30 hours straight. She is considered high-risk because her last pregnancy ended in an emergency C section. We went to the hospital three times over two nights, each time begging to either be admitted or at least to be sent home with something for the pain or to help her sleep. Each time, Dr. Hurd told us with indifference, he would do nothing for us, to go home. I will tell everyone I can to never use Dr. Hurd."
