"Pretty neat. Easy to find. The surrounding neighborhood is not particularly attractive, with a power line running right through the tree's canopy. There are a number of nearby neighborhoods with gorgeous oak canopies that one can drive or walk through. Levert St, Monterey and Fearnway Sts, and Florence Place, off the top of my mind."

"The tree is quite majestic and huge. I wish they would reenact the Tree Trail from the 70/80s that the sign stated. Not much is available online about the trail. People complaining about "no parking" need to grow up. The tree is on a street in a somewhat quiet neighborhood. Park on the side of the road like everyone else; there's no Vallet Parking here..."

"A grand and very picturesque, possibly Precolumbian, sprawling tree that you don't see the like of in many places. BONUS -- it's on Caroline Street, which contains many historic-though-humble "shotgun" houses, most restored through a local program and marked with the appropriate plaque. Don't miss this area and the other *3* historic districts in Mobile (the originating city of Mardi Gras), including downtown's Dauphin Street for great eats -- get thee some authentic beignets at Mobay! -- and ancient urban buildings. Mobile has *French and Spanish colonial roots* as well as English, and those influences show in the architecture!"
