"Dr Judy has been my daughters pulmonologist for 8 years. We couldn’t ask for better care. Dr. Judy may not be the most talkative but he knows what he’s doing in caring for these kids."

"No bedside manner, poor patient communication skills and poor care planning. I have been seeing Dr. Judy since October for my son's asthma. At the last appointment he and his nurse were accusatory and rude to me in front of my 4 year old. I have been giving the medication as prescribed and because they said I didn't refill it as they thought should be done accused me of being a neglectful mother. Without even listening to me they said I haven't given my son his medication in 3 months. This is completely untrue express scripts sends a 90 day supply and I already had an extra inhaler from a previous prescription. They didn't listen to me at all that he had been receiving his medication. Dr Judy said in front of my son, "You are not giving him his medication and he will never get better, You are hurting him and when he gets sick this fall you're going to see how bad it is!" when I tried to explain that he was getting it and they company sends a 90 day supply they both basically called me a liar. My son has very mild asthma that is only exacerbated when he gets ill. So far their treatment plan is to keep him on a twice a day inhaler for the next few YEARS to see if that helps. I have been following the doctors orders but to be talked to in this manner is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend taking your child here. They are obviously not looking out for their patients' best interests if they wont even listen to the parent on something so basic. I am a registered nurse and I know the importance of medication regiments and know the importance rapport. Dr. Judy and his nurse have shown me they cannot be a caregiver for my child. I have cared for countless children with chronic asthma I am not ignorant or negligent. Shame on this practice for treating children this way. My son left there feeling scared that should never happen at a practice for children EVER."

"We love Dr Judy. He interacts well with our 3 year old and put us at ease when an asthma attack landed him in the hospital for a week."

"Dr. Judy & his nurse is rude and very unprofessional. Dr. Judy yelled (literally) at my husband and I because we missed a follow-up appointment (in front of my 7yr old) He tried to say he was concerned about him but his office never called to reschedule or sent a letter. Also while in front of my child, he told us of another 7yr old patient who is currently under his care that is in a nursing home and is a vegetable because of her parents lack of being good parents (in so many words) and tried to say if we didn't get control of my son's asthma we would also be there with our son ( my son heard all of this) I cried the entire time, pissed, shocked and completely hurt. My son was terrifed by the time we left and said he never wanted to go back. We requested a transfer to Birmingham before leaving that day, said it wouldn't be a problem, then when I called they refused to put in the referral for who we wanted to see but luckily the staff in Birmingham is amazing and got us scheduled for who we requested anyways! Only took us two visits to see what kind of doctor he truly is! If you are needing a pulmonologist, Birmingham is so worth the drive!"

"Dr. Gerald Judy is a straight redneck, racist. My son had an trach and he treated him for awhile but when i missed a couple of appointments he dismissed me from his practice. He has no bedside manners with his customers. As a single parent of two and a disabled child that has over 6 specialists I cant make them all nor pay for them all and you dismiss a sick child. So now that I am scheduled to see Dr. Mahesh they will not accept me because of that."
