"There are no words to fully describe the positive impact Lisa, Dr.Chen, Melinda, and this facility have had on my life and the lives of my children. We have been seen here for many years as first timers to mental health treatment through therapy and have all reaped the benefits from healthy coping skills and positive self care provided by their guidance. The person I previously was in comparison to the person I am today are like that of night and day. I’m back to communicating in a healthy way with individuals in a social setting, I’ve started back to volunteering my Barber/Cosmetology skills to those in need, crowds no longer make me anxious, I’ve started back working full time for 5 months now, I drove on the interstate for the first time in 4 years just last week, And I’ve gotten back to a better version of myself again, always keeping in mind that this change within starts with ME. The self confidence I have now going out into the world as fearless, strong, and resilient is all thanks to the work I was encouraged to put into myself in conjunction with the guidance given by these extraordinary individuals at Choices Of Alabama. My Children use the skills given to them through their therapy sessions everyday as well and the change is visible in how they approach obstacles that may arise for them. I cannot boast enough about how much they have done and continue to do for us.
