"We recently bought a home and Mrs. Darden was the sellers real estate agent. We lived out of state so things were a bit more tricky than just your regular sale, especially dealing with pandemic going on. Mrs. Darden cut her commission to almost nothing 1.5% instead of the average 3% which meant there was nothing to split with our agent. We ended up paying our agent out of our pocket instead of her being a responsible agent and splitting the commison etc.... She was never really responsive to our questions or counter offers. But when it came to her we had to respond immediately or quickly. Some times it would take her days upon days to get back to our agent about potential problems, counter offers, questions or our agent responding to her phone calls etc....no real sense of urgency or responsibility as an agent. The property listing was for 7 acres and then within two weeks of us into it we are told no it's 5 acres as they sold the other to a neighbor. Which was fine. But why this wasn't disclosed immediatel or on the MLS listing, not one of us know and was false information to say the least. She was a difficult agent to work with and we are grateful our agent stuck with us (even though he wanted us to just walk away) and kept going for the long haul. She has still yet to bring us a fixture that was part of the original sale. Which was done in June. I guess out of sight out mind thought, so we just gave up. Even though this was not part of the sale of the home, her clients were wanting to sell some of their furnishings. We were emailed the paper with their asking price and we wanted almost everything they were selling so it made our 14hr move easier and her client's move easier too. Mrs. Dearden was notified this was the case and yet she chose not to inform her clients what we wanted to buy most of it. Which at the end of the day made it more difficult on her clients, and just an inconvenience for us. I would never recommend her or anyone affiliated with her office. As a first time home buyer ( husband has bought several homes prior) for me this wasn't a great experience except with our agent. Love our new home despite the awful experience."
