"I am afraid the low reviews found on Valley Pain Clinic Reviews are from patiences wanting pain pills . The Doctor is very careful about getting people addicted! My insurance also covered all cost so that may be a factor as well . I was diagnosed on my very first visit , my medial branch nerves were shooting unbearable pain , just getting out of bed caused me to scream ! I could not have therapy , The Pain level out the roof ! I had to have these nerves deactivated by ablation . The pain had stopped before I left the surgery center . I am now getting therapy, strengthening my back muscles . I had one year of being inactive due to pain , now I can get the therapy I needed without pain . I highly recommend if nerve pain is your problem . I didn’t want to live my life on pain pills , I wanted the problem fixed . I have high expectations that when and if these nerves grow back my back will be strong enough and will not let the medial never call the shots ! I say Amen ! This was my only solution for getting out of pain ."

"I have been going here for a few months : costed quite a bit to get X-rays at the local hospital to prove my conditions. It seemed to be what I needed to get medication to control my pain . However the third visit became complicated from extreme high charges for drug screen . They were charging my insurance 160.for drug screen . Of course my provider would not pay this ridiculous amount therefore they charged me for the difference . So I spoke with a male person in the office and he assured me that from that point on when a drug test was done I would be charged only 65.00 ok so I agreed . Continued with there team . Now today when I went in they had a lot of charges along with another 160.00 charge for drug screen . Also two charges for no show .there was two times I had to reschedule because of being out of town . I followed protocol and called days before my appointment to reschedule . There policy I signed when I started with this office required 24 hour notice to not be charged as no show this was met . They wanted me to sign for charges and I refused , they gave me a paper to sign to state I was quoting there service . I refused to sign and to them I was only refusing to sign until they corrected the no show charges and honored the 65.00 drug screen . It appears people that are in need of help and or scamming for drugs : are the people that this pain clinic feeds on by overcharging and incorrect charges known no they will pay anything to get drugs . Lol not me yes I need help but not going no to be hassled for charges that are incorrect. I will be calling the state board to further my compliant . Can’t help but believe this is happening a lot . Every time I go there the same complaints are at the desk from other patients . This pain management needs to be shut down . I will do all in my power to see that it does shut down or at least be investigated to stop the theft of our hard earned money . If I am wrong then it will have to be proved to me . Thank you for taking time to review my complaints"

"I am very concerned about this office's prescribing practices. I am a nurse with AL Dept of public health. I have two family members that have been patients there for many years. One gets monthly fentanyl patches along with percocet 10s, the other gets 110 percocets a month. They both live in the same household . There is a high risk of overuse and sharing that is well known nationwide. Most offices will not do this. I will be investigating further"

"I have been coming to see Dr. Shikh since 2006. I have Multi Level DDD. I have Spinal Stenosis. I have a Ruptured Disk and Bulging Disk. I also have Bone Spurs. I have have had different types of medication. I have had joint injections. I have had Epidural injection. I was told by Dr. Shikh that if I never have any pain then I was on to much medication. I am now at the point where I have to have a Spinal fusion. I will still have to go back to Dr. Shikh. I love everyone there. The staff is so sweet . Dr. Shikh does do random drug screening so you better be very strict with your medicine. He will not replace lost prescriptions with out a police report. Dest pain management doctor there is. Definitely not a pain mill If that is what you want then you will be disappointed. I would give him and his staff a an A+."
