"The funeral director, & everyone that worked there was extremely nice, but their attention to details only seemed to happen when I would ask about something specific. It was surprising to me how many things I had to check on, & even double check on! Here's a list of several examples: 1. No one checking on the clothing that I had brought to the funeral home. I forgot to bring any undergarments. 2. No one asking me if I wanted my husband's clothing that he had on the night that he passed away. 3. No one offering to order my husband's military marker, until I thought to ask the funeral home several weeks later. 4. No available visitation dates for the day/week that I wanted, which forced me to have all services at our church, which in turn, I had to call our minister & arrange a visitation time that didn't conflict with any regular church services. And when I arrived at the church for the visitation, having the funeral director question me about the service at the church, instead of with the minister. 5. Finding out from my daughter-in-law several weeks after the funeral, that the funeral home had fingerprints of my husband, & that I could order a keepsake using the fingerprints. No one from the funeral home ever mentioned that to me once. 6. Having to have the obituary redone because I forgot to have my husband's siblings & spouses listed. Even though the mistake was my own fault, you are not thinking in your right mind. It would have been nice if the funeral director would have followed the form she was filling out on the computer, & specifically asked me if I wanted any siblings or other family listed."
