"Rooms are nice and clean, but my door jammed and wouldn’t let me in, and it seemed like it was a known issue (why not fix it?). Then went into fitness center and it was full of papers all over the equipment like it was someone’s office, couldn’t use it. Staff made no attempt to clean it up and make it usable. 30 seconds of picking up papers was all that was needed. No sign on door saying out of order. If it’s an advertised amenity, maybe make it usable. i chose the hotel because it was economical and had a gym. I’d have gone elsewhere for the gym. Won’t be back."
"We came for a weekend getaway and was pleasantly surprised by our stay at this hotel. It has allot of normal accommodations, ice machine, coke machine and ashtrays outside the rooms for people who smoke. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!!! I don’t have enough good things to say about the team operating here. Breakfast is from 5:30am-9am….it was made on the spot and that was different from most places I’ve been….absolutely delicious by the way….the dining area is very aesthetically pleasing. The pool was down when we visited but that’s life sometimes. They are working to get it back up and running so maybe next time we visit. The room was very clean and accommodating. Very spacious. My experience here was definitely a highlight of our trip. We truly appreciate the staff here!!!"
"The room was clean the bed was comfortable, the dining area was clean, the cook was friendly and caring, her name was Donna. She makes breakfast on demand from 6am to 9 am because she likes to make sure you have a warm breakfast. The manager is super nice and very accommodating, considerate, and kind, so if you're ever in the Jackson, Alabama area the Best Western is the place to stay."
