"June 2023 First time in this place, amazing band and delicious food (even if the menu has 3-5 dishes). The vegetarian burrito made with green asparagus, mushrooms and cheese was outrageous but a bit greasy! The fries were crispy. Friendly welcome from the lady who manages the food orders and check-out. The cocktail was ok but not excellent, anyway we really enjoyed the concert and this place, thank you!"

"We love the drinks here and the lovely staff, the new owners are so kind! And the new kitchen has really made the effort to make really good food and specifically has catered to my vegetarian diet when requested, which means a lot to me! They made me this amazing veggie burrito with a bunch of fresh veggies and it was perfect! If you’re vegetarian, be sure to ask if there is anything they could make you, if you don’t see it listed on the menu! Much love 18th, be back soon!"

"Sad that this location was sold and has changed so much. It was literally at its best barely a month ago. Now it's like an over 60 dive bar. No one has a clue about beer, drinks or the business and even less about what people want. The environment is sleepy at best. It makes no sense. Change the name or get back the awesome music & staff that you had. The environment they had created was amazing and everyone loved it. Now it feels literally like all the regulars and locals are not wanted and have been pushed out. We need a new great bar in Miller!"

"18th Street Brewery in the Miller Beach neighborhood of Gary is a rare find for craft beer lovers. It also carries craft distilled spirits. The place offers some of the best beers in the Chicago area and the nation. IPAs, Double IPAs, stouts, Sours and more are available on tap. The place has a chef and the offerings are nothing short of amazing. Try the cheese curds. Try the brisket, which is smoked fresh daily. The ambiance is casual and the staff is friendly. It is just a block away from the South Shore station if you would like to take the train from Chicago to visit. It is also just up the street from the Indiana Dunes National Park. A must visit if you are traveling in northwest Indiana."
