Days Inn by Wyndham Cullman

"I can not believe that Wyndham lets their name even be associated with this motel. When we get here after 2:00 pm the rooms were not ready and had to wait. Fine would have overlooked that. Get around to the room and they are pressure washing the air conditioners, so it's really loud, but OK it's day time and they are doing a job. In the process they get the dirt and debris all over our brand new car. They could have asked us to move the car but nope. The guy then lies to my husband and says they sprayed it off. Really because if you sprayed it off, you didn't do a very good job. At least make it look like you tried to spray it off, then of course they do not offer to make it right. The room 117 it'sself is a dump. The room smells funny, the toilet moves when you sit down, the bed is on a metal frame and squeaks every time you turn over, and don't lean to far back in the recliner or you may end up on the floor. The other guests were extremely loud talking and yelling, but ok it's a Saturday night. But the guest who woke me up by yelling to someone that they were on their way to work at 4:00 am Sunday morning was the final straw. I do not recommend this place to anyone and it's a shame because it used to be really nice the first time I stayed here back in 2011."

"My family and my brother-in-laws family had been traveling for over 20 hours when we arrived at the Days Inn at Cullman. We arrived late and needed to sleep as we had 12 hours more to go. When we arrived the hotel looked a bit dingy and the attendant appeared as if she was dressed in a night gown. It took 30 minutes for her to check us into 3 rooms for the evening. We went to our rooms with 5 exhausted children. When we woke up the next day we discovered that we all had found bugs in our rooms along with old food, garbage, and general uncleanliness. One of the room's bathroom facilities also worked once and then did not work again. As we had such a long travel time the next day, along with having 5 children with us, we did not address it with the staff there and chose to contact them once we arrived home. Once we did I called the hotel to let them know about my stay. The attendant was indifferent and asked what I wanted her to do about it. I asked for a manager to call me back as there was not one on duty. That was 2 days ago and a manager still has not responded to me."

"Rented a room for my daughter for one night and she came home at 5 am the very next morning. She said there were so many roaches, she didn't sleep for fear of them crawling on her and she didn't turn the lights out. The room stunk of cig smoke and set her asthma off and then the A/C unit started blowing smoke into the room and it had to be turned off. What was supposed to be a restful weekend turned into a nightmare. We went up there yesterday to take her some food and drinks and immediately smelled Marijuana that smelled like a skunk. It was so strong and I said rather loudly that I could smell it. Two girls not far away were outside and then the smell dissipated immediately. As we were leaving, we got hit hit up for a cigarette. I told the man that we didn't smoke. This is the most run down, disgusting place I have ever seen and a former long haul trucker, I've seen a lot of seedy places. DO NOT STAY HERE. there are far better places just a few miles up the interstate for just a few dollars more and those places actually have a full continental breakfast. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

"I was going to be in this area for 3 days and decided to just find the cheapest place I could. From all the reviews I was anticipating the worst. I have to say I didn't mind it here at all. The place was clean and every day they replaced the towels. The breakfast is excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal and coffee and juice. The orange juice actually tasted like orange juice unlike some places I've stayed that were much pricier. I slept soundly and didn't notice any noise from other units. My wife carries headphones with her so she can listen to music as she drops off to sleep so she didn't hear anything after she turned on the music. All in all it was a good place to get a good night's rest. Also, the beds were very very comfortable. They were also friendly to check in although I did have to use the window instead of entering the business. There is a covered hall there but it was an 85° day so the hall was a little warm but I was only waiting for about 5 minutes for other people checking in. If you're staying in this area and want a good value for your money for a good night's sleep, this is a good place. I have stayed in places where the sheets have been sown from being ripped, cigarette burns on the bathtub from where people sitting on the commodes have just let their cigarettes lay there on the edge, and beds that felt like evil torture devices. This place is worthy of the title Good Motel. I will be staying here next time I come to town."

"Doors locked at 4:15 and had to use the night check-in window. It was hot waiting. Long wait to get checked in, had new computer system but lady checking in wouldn't stop talking to other lady inside would get more done if less talking and more working. The room needed to be painted. It was peeling. But the room seemed clean."
