"The food I got was awesome, but the prices were outrageous for a small diner. The restroom was a little larger than a Greyhound bus. I think there were two waitresses, but I mainly saw this one young lady who served the entire diner. I asked for a booth, and she placed me in a small one in the very back. I had very little room."

"The place was clean. Staff was helpful, and the food was really good. I had the cricket melt and fries. It was excellent, but I warn you, don't order this unless you are very hungry! My wife had catfish fillet and fries along with fried okra and Mac n chesse. Fish was ok, mac n chesse was GOOD, fried okra was ok."

"This place has awesome breakfast. If you are too fancy this might not be your cup of tea. This has a sixties era diner feel to it. The place is not large at all. It is very comfortable and you do not need to get fancied up to eat here just come as you are. The staff are very friendly. The food will come out quickly hot and fresh. Plenty of parking in the back."

"My wife and I had never been to the Cross-Eyed Cricket, so we made a special trip to eat breakfast there. My wife ordered a short stack of pancakes, making sure they had peanut butter. I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, and grits. Eggs over easy, they were cooked to perfection. The bacon was crisp and thick. The hash Browns were cooked just right. The only complaint I have is that the grits were quite soupy. Our waitress was an elderly lady, but she was quite friendly and pleasant and did her job well. I was told that they did some improvements in the dining room during the pandemic. But the building is still quite old and has been there forever. The dining room is small, and I would be surprised if it could seat 40 people, it was quite crowded while we were there. But we enjoined our time there. It was a unique experience."
