The Color Cafe

"I was looking for a Salon to redo my highlights and base color… after reading the reviews decided to go to The Color Cafe. Before making an appointment I had discuss my hair condition ( box color in my hair) questioned if they were able to do the highlights etc and pricing . Day of appointment… was treated great by the stylist ( she’s amazing even offered to fix it) Salon was neat took me right in and discussed what I wanted and my concerns. BUT After all was done the results were sooooo disappointing. My hair highlights came out orange ash instead the blonde look I wanted to achieve as I specifically wanted! I was told to leave the toner in for couple of days and it will become lighter but No! My friends , workers were all looking at my ash colored highlights and questioning me. It’s was embarrassing and very upsetting. I called many times to get the matter fix but the owner is not responding back now . I paid money to get the look I desired and if they couldn’t achieve that it should’ve been clear at first ! I am now stuck and paid money for hair that I did not want ."

"I went for a balayage touch-up, but was not happy with the color the first time. I called Heather back and she was very understanding and accommodating, retouched for free. She listened and made sure I was satisfied. I love how my hair turned out!"

"I've been going here for years. I went from just trims on long hair in 2008 with Josh- fresh out of Paul Mitchell School- then color, highlights, and finally chopping it all off in a pixie cut (thanks Makenzie) which I have been coloring and maintaining for years. This team is fantastic, offering fabulous color (I've had tri color in a pixie cut that looked amazing one winter- courtesy again of Makenzie) and wonderful styling. Can't say enough good things about them and haven't been unhappy in the 15 years I've been going"

"I had a horrible experience with Courtney. I have thick, long hair and I asked for a shag cut. The entire time, Courtney have the impression that she had no idea what she was doing. She dropped her comb about 10 times and she brushed my hair with a hairbrush covered in other people’s hair. I don’t know if that is typical of this salon or if it was just that Courtney doesn’t clean her tools. She asked someone with more experience for help a couple times, but rather than handing me off to someone else, she kept trying to finish the job herself. It was a nerve wracking experience and I was genuinely relieved when it was over. The results weren’t bad. But the experience was awful."
