"We've eaten here for years & very pleased. However, it has new owners & we were sorely disappointed tonight. We enjoyed a wonderful burger just last week, but... we had a ribeye steak & meatloaf tonight. Both were awful-the steak was really tough & had so much gristle, I couldn't eat much. My husband had meatloaf which had so much filler. Just didn't taste right at all. Our server removed the charge for meats & let me order a replacement meat, which she charged for. We feel with the poor quality of the meats as well as the mac & cheese it shouldered been complmentary. VERY disappointing meal."

"If you are a fan of bbq, I would pick somewhere else. I saw the other reviews (mostly positive) and thought that this would be a perfect place for dinner. I was very wrong. We ordered the jalapeño poppers for an appetizer and it was actually good. There was no smoke flavor to be found but they were still tasty which I thought would set the tone for everything else. This led me to dinner which was the trio platter with brisket, chicken, and pork with a side of green beans and slaw. The meats had to be the most dried out sorry excuse for bbq that I’ve had at a restaurant. The brisket was an absolute joke. It literally tasted like it was boiled. No seasoning, no smoke, and tougher than a leather shoe. No smoke ring to be found. No bark. Just boiled beef. The chicken was just as dry and honestly tasted like canned chicken. Once again, there was no smokey flavor, no seasoning, and overall not bbq. Pork was more of the same except it was soggy. It was for sure shredded but that’s about it. The best way to describe this was wet. No flavor to be found other than old pork. The green beans tasted like they were out of the can and the slaw was the only thing that was decent. I tried to salvage what I could with the bbq sauces which is the only thing you can actually call bbq in this joint. I’m pretty sure they were all a base of sweet baby rays mixed in with some other things which was not bad. It , sadly, couldn’t save the meal. We did complain about this and they took off part of the meal which was appreciated but it should have been the whole bill. The server then disappeared for 15 minutes before we could pay the bill. Worst bbq I’ve ever eaten. Period."

"We happened to be in Brazil, IN yesterday evening and decided try Pappy's Barbeque for dinner. It turned out to be a great choice. Our server was probably the kindest and most considerate person I've had wait on my table ever (I swear I'm not exaggerating). Additionally the food was very good and arrived very quickly. I liked Pappy's homemade BBQ sauces okay, but they were not the best I've ever had. That is the only neutral comment I can make. Everything else was great and we plan to return to Pappy's whenever we pass through Brazil."

"Very nice BBQ stop as we crossed the country. Ribs were very good and the burnt ends were very good too. We had lots of leftovers to heat up at the next hotel. The cornbread was huge and not too sweet. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I can see why this place is so popular."

"So, my family and I stopped in here after a friend recommended it to me. If you are in Brazil, I would recommend this place too, because it did not disappoint. They have their own choices of BBQ: spicy, honey, sweet, original Pappy. My favorite was was the sweet with the honey as my #2. I loved the cheesy tators and I went with the hickory chicken sandwich. Portion sizes were decent. Everyone with me had something positive to say about their choices. Prices seemed fair. I haven't ate my pie yet, so I'm holding out on that last star. Our service was top notch, as our waitress could give us recommendations and let us know what was popular. If you're a sweet tea drinker, theirs was excellent--better than Mcalister's, notch below Grandma's.... not that I think anyone can beat that. Covid precautions: they have pick up orders separate area from dining area for less exposure, which I thought was interesting."
