"Look at this right here! True old school. It was worth every penny. The food was amazing and made me feel like I was at my grandparent's house. 21 million views from my reviews. So trust me when I say this. Best kept secret in Gary or maybe even Chicagoland people. Yes, you may have to wait for the food just trust me it's worth it. I spent 55.00 but as you can see we want leftovers. This also includes dessert !! Our first experience was 4 month's ago the egg rolls had been great."
"This is a Gem in Gary I must say their food was on point so delicious my co workers were wondering where I went lol (shared info and menu) The greens the Mac n cheese and catfish yummmy no complaints the ambience of the restaurant while I awaited my carryout was welcoming. I will definitely be revisiting and found a new lunch spot"
"There was a group of us and we have a monthly luncheon at different locations each month. D & K Soul Food was our selection this month and it was awesome! We were offered lemonade when we entered and it was very good. Everyone said their food choices tasted great! I had the grilled shrimp salad and there were so many shrimp I couldn’t believe it! We’d love to dine there again!"
"The food looked and smelled so amazing I was almost done eating my food before I realized I hadn’t taken a picture of it!! I had the stuffed turkey feast and my son had jerk shrimp…and Debra homemade peach cobbler was delicious!! I tried saving some for later but I couldn’t help but eat it all!!"
