"My wife and I are looking into flooring at the Saint John location. A young man named Derek works in the flooring department. It was enjoyable working with him as he Displayed a good knowledge of the products available and of the workings behind the scenes. He was cordial and professional and was filled with an abundance of information. Thank you Derek."

"I worked with Tracy Tomich at Schillings this past year during our new construction home build. Her expertise and attention to detail in every area regarding my kitchen, master bathroom and great room cabinetry made my experience with Schillings very favorable. She was very conscientious giving me the design elements that I was wanting in cabinetry throughout the home. Not only is she an excellent designer but also is very pleasant to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend her!!!!"

"The experience I had at Schillings Lumber was exceptional! I needed two window locks to replace two broken locks. Adam was really patient, helpful, and resourceful in helping me find the correct replacements and getting them ordered. After visiting the store located in St. John, Indiana, I was surprised to see just how many other home departments there were at this location. They have kitchen, bath, windows, doors, so many departments! There is free parking, handicapped accessible entry, and excellent organization inside the facility! I plan to return for future home needs, and recommend you give them a try as well!"

"I would not recommend. We bought Anderson windows from them and they recommended an installer. The guy working in window department was extremely rude, so much that another employee came over and apologized for his behavior. I should have run then. The installer they recommended was NOT reliable, NOT honest and didn't finish the job. We have improperly installed windows that are leaking. We called Greg Schilling and explained the situation, he did nothing. We spent over $20k...and now will have to spend more to repair the damage. FOLLOW UP--- Greg Schilling, Gary the window salesman & Glen, a window specialist, came to our home to assess the window situation. They agreed the windows were installed properly, didn’t see any problem. They acknowledged a little bit of siding damage. Greg told us siding needs to be replaced every 10 YEARS, and we could buy some at Schilling. This spring we went outside and our siding is actually falling off of our house, the inside walls are cracked and damaged as well. We called a company out to assess the damage & do repairs. We didn’t give them the backstory. We asked how this happened to our siding, they inspected the windows and said, there is NO FLASHING, no tape, no insulation on these windows, so the water is running down the inside. We had 17 windows replaced by Bob McClymont the contractor Schilling recommended. We now have to have our entire home assessed for damage inside and out. My husband and I are devastated. We have saved and put everything into our home, which we love. We went to Schilling because of their reputation, they are supposed to be the best. We have realized we are very naïve, too trusting, we thought when you go to ‘experts’ they have your best interest in mind. Apparently when you install new windows in your home, the customer should learn how to install windows to supervise and make sure it’s being done correctly. We trusted them. Customers should know, if Schilling recommends a contractor, they DO NOT stand by them, take responsibility for them or guarantee any work! Greg told us that as if it’s common knowledge. So customers be aware!"
