Pepe's Mexican Restaurant

"Overpriced mediocre food and slow service. The salsa was warm and soup like also the guacamole was just mashed avocado with no flavor. The booth we were sat at was very uncomfortable. About a hour later we all had upset stomachs. It was 80.00 for four people."

"Visiting from out of town, and decided to go here with my mother. She enjoyed herself, but my meal was less than pleasant. I ordered the shrimp burrito, on the menu it reads that it comes with rice and beans. Taste left much to desire, but I may be spoiled since I live in Texas and have access to authentic Mexican cuisine. Anyways, I received my meal and questioned it because it looked different from past visits but was told that’s just how it comes. Cool, I’m not in the kitchen nor a regular patron. After our lunch, we got the check and my mom commented on how much more than usual it was. Why? Because we were charged for a burrito dinner. No problem, easy fix right? Well not when you’re dealing with a condescending host who asked me several times, “Well did you eat the rice and beans?” I told him I ate what was on my plate, was I supposed to return it, even though the menu says all burritos come with rice and beans? Not sure if he is unfamiliar with the menu, but the condescending tone needs to be addressed by management. I also asked to speak to the manager but was not given the opportunity to do so. As someone who does consultant work for small businesses, I suggest an etiquette and training course for the young man. I’ll be sure to be back, to see if this is regular behavior or not."

"OMG, my brother and I got the steak fajita's, they were absolutely delicious. Like heaven in your mouth. But they have many more entrees, which if I had a bigger stomach, I would have ordered more but they give you free chips and a warm salsa, excellent and they refilled it twice for nothing. The waitress was so friendly withe the warmest smile, very kind. I love the experience and I plan on going back many more times"

"Our waitress was fantastic. We are a group of 6. With 3 smaller kids (8-9), she took it upon herself to save this mama some grief by giving us cups without lids. That's a tremendous thing for me. I was able to sit back and relax without fussing at them."

"We haven't been to Pepe's in about 4 years. The tacos are the same and not skimpy, but what did they do to their salsa? Used to be good. Chucky. This was warm (steaming) and thin. Like a watery tomato soup. That was disappointing, but the margaritas and fried ice cream were great!"
