"I was just in guadalajara a couple weeks ago eating tortas ahogadas and birria from street vendors and I can say with complete confidence that this spot is the real deal. The salsa that they drown the torta in was better than the salsa I had in guadalajara, and the pork was just as melt-in-your-mouth tender. The only difference here was the bread- here it is soft and spongy, which isn't a bad thing, just different from the hard crusty bread I had in mexico. The jericallas and horchata were also top tier. If you want authentic guadalajara cuisine, casa de luz is the place to go. For a really authentic experience, make sure to get your torta "en bolsa"!"
