"The people that had owned this place must have sold out and moved on. I have been a customer of Van Thong for about 20 years and had always loved the food and service that I had received. Until I called to order a delivery and got the beef soup and beef fried rice. After I got the meal and opened it, I found that the beef was almost raw. I don't mean under cooked. I mean raw. I called up to ask about it and they said they did it that way because they expected me to microwave it to cook it. I was then told that they would no longer continue with the delivery service that they had been known for. It's a shame that the restaurant has new owners because I will never order from them again."
"We normally visit this place once a month well we haven’t been there in about 2 months or so we went in tonight and what a mess it was the reception couldn’t understand what item I wanted even after googling photos and showing her. She was very sweet and nice but it was very hard and overwhelming communicating to her what I wanted. I ordered egg drop soup and a fried rice no meat in it. The egg drop soup was delicious however the fried rice was suppose to be a large and the rice is normally browned with eggs in it (well not this time) it was absolutely shocking and disgusting."
"Today I went to Van Thong’s for the first time in over a year to find out that they are under new management. But let me tell you what, they are serving the best Vietnamese food ever! It wasn’t the Chinese food I was looking for getting but the Pho was out of this world just like their service! The waitress was sure accommodating to everything I needed. The atmosphere was also very bright and inviting!"
"I am highly disappointed with my order. I purchased the fried chicken rice with spring rolls. This meal has such a horrible taste. I threw the entire meal away. The rice was so dry, and the chicken was too over cooked. I had a cup of soup and the carrots were so overcooked they were brown. I had an order along with several colleagues, who stated the same thing about the meal being horrible. The only thing that tasted good was the fortune cookies and they were include as a complementary to the meal."
