"Really had an unpleasant experience here in Dec 2023. They mischarged me twice and it was a comedy of errors to try to resolve this. My suggestion is to skip this place and buy online. I knew what kind of shoe I wanted, purchased it but when he rang it up, the price looked high. So I questioned that and they re-rang it up. When I got home I noticed that the salesman charged a higher price than what was shown online. So with receipt in hand and the TrakShak webpage on the phone I went back to the store to get this sorted out. The store was empty and I explained the situation to the employee. First off, he said that their website is wrong and basically you cant believe the price! Even though the price was the same as what Amazon shows, he had to call someone to verify this. That being resolved he sees that I was indeed overcharged. Then the excuses start how this will be difficult to correct since they just did inventory that morning?! Then he struggled trying to resolve the charge difference. At one point he told me that there was no record of a purchase. He says this as he is holding the receipt in his hand! Somehow it is my fault that my name or phone is not in the system. Frankly I dont think that was ever asked for that information during the initial purchase. So after over 10 minutes of trying to straighten this out, he has to call his supervisor again. I ask what the problem is and he complains about the system. I suggest they try to fix the system. This is where he gets defensive and says "You dont work here! You dont know our system!" Well that's right, and I'm glad I dont. But I do know that a simple mischarge should not take this long to resolve. Finally after over 20 minutes of battling the system, apparently the charges are corrected. I'll have to look at the credit card statement to see if this is really true. The employee then said he didn't appreciate me getting "testy" with him. Well I never raised my voice, and only asked why their mistake took so long to resolve. Guess he didn't like being questioned or appreciate my suggestion. Lastly, I'll note that we have been customers here for 4 years and have bought at least half a dozen pair of shoes, plus shorts and a Garmin Forerunner. Well they have lost our business for good. Online for me from now on. There's a sign up front that says "Don't buy online. Support your local business." That's exactly what I was trying to do but apparently they don't exactly value customers."

"The Trak Shak is a great local business that has supported the schools and community for over 20 years! AND they’re good at what they do. I brought my mother in for a fitting after her podiatrist recommended a couple of brands they carry. The young man, Jake, could not have been more patient, knowledgeable and professional. He took great care in assuring a proper fit, and my mother has been very pleased! I came in, myself, a couple of months after that and had a similarly good experience. In light of the manufacturing and shipping backlogs small businesses are currently experiencing, I found their inventory to be better stocked than expected. Very happy to support this business!"
