"I started coming here around 08/2022. I came for a color correction and even though I was happy with the result, the stylist got “excited” during the service and started talking about how well my hair was lifting and how we had all these options now. I was originally quoted a price at a consultation with the stylist but during the service she changed up the plan and gave no warning that what she was doing would have over $100 more in extra fees, despite me making it clear I had a tight budget. I’m not very experienced in a salon so I didn’t know what these extra things would cost, but I feel like it was her job to make the client aware of changes in price. I was happy with the service so I never complained and have been using the same stylist since. Overall I’ve been happy with the color services and mostly content with the haircuts but I’ve never had any real complaints. Until I booked a toner + trim with said stylist weeks in advance (it’s very hard to even get a response from this stylist, I messaged her on 07/31 with some dates, she texted back 08/02 telling me those dates didn’t work, then didn’t text back again until 08/07) and then at 8:00 the night before, she texts me asking to push my appointment back by 2 hours (from 10am to 12pm). This was super inconvenient for me because I have to take off work to make it for these appointments plus drive 45 mins to this salon so it messed up my whole day, but I agreed as I didn’t feel like I had a choice and I was sure it was important to the stylist. When I arrive, she tells me “thanks for coming in late, I really needed an extra couple hours sleep this morning”. I was irritated at this point but again it’s hard to find a good stylist so I let it go. I asked her if she could straighten my hair after drying since my day had been moved around due to the appointment and I wouldn’t have time to go home and do it myself, and she told me she didn’t have time but she would see what she could do. She straightened it a little but it was still so wavy and floofy it was like she didn’t do it all the way. So then she trims my hair and I go home and plan on re-booking with her again in like 6 weeks. Until I wash and style my hair the next day and see that there is a clear difference between either side of my hair. The left side is normal and soft and long, and the right side was cut super blunt, way shorter, and looked awful. I messaged the stylist to have her fix it but due to my schedule it was hard to find a time I could come in which I understand. But my last straw is when I asked if maybe someone else could fix it, I even told her I wasn’t mad but I just didn’t want to go through the weekend with my hair botched, she just told me they close early on Fridays and that she’s trying to figure it out for me but she had something personal going on at that moment and she had to handle that. I expected that maybe the following Monday or something she might follow up and try to get me in to fix my hair, but she literally just ghosted me and never got back with me to fix her massive mistake in my hair. She also was posting open appointments for that week on her Facebook so she obviously had time to take me in, just chose not to which is wildly unprofessional. I won’t name the stylist because my goal isn’t to ruin her career or run clients away, but I hope she learns from this situation and I hope that anyone who reads this chooses their stylist/salon very carefully and maybe stands up for themselves more than I did."

"Krystle has been my hairstylist for almost 10 years and is now the owner of Studio Chic. I know how professional and “picky” she is about her services so I have no doubt that she would only hire the “best of the best” in stylists! I’ve already been in to have my hair cut and colored since they opened and the salon is extreme clean. She is truly the only one I would want to use for coloring my hair because of the knowledge and experience she has in that field. I know her stylists she has working there are the same! My teenage son has wavy hair which is not the easiest to cut. Amanda cut his hair last week and did an outstanding job!!! I highly recommend her!! We are very fortunate to have such high quality hair stylists right here in Helena. I haven’t even mentioned that their prices on the quality of service you get are incredible! If you are in the area and in need of a top notch hair stylist, you really need to give them a call! You will be so glad you did! I also have to mention that even before they opened their door for business, they were already supporting our schools by making a purchase from one of our school fundraisers. They are eager to support our schools and community so let’s help keep them in Helena!!"
