"I wasn’t going to make this review but I have to. I went to Tameka Crawford on September 21, 2023 to get my hair perm, ends clips, and straighten as I have done many times. I have been going to her for a while as well as my sister. We go back to high school. We wasn’t besties or nothing but I knew her very well. So I thought we were better than we were. But anyway I went to get my hair done. Not to mention, my appointment was at 4:30pm and she got there at 6:30pm. She’s late all the time! Anyone who gets their hair done by her know this. We just deal with it because she does good hair. So I thought. When she permed my hair, it started to burn, but nothing serious to me. What I thought was the typical perm burn, end up being more. She did it on a Thursday. By Sunday my head was on fire! My scalp was burned so badly that I had puss sores in my head! Puss was actually oozing out my hair! It was so wet and hard. So I called her Monday morning and I’m back at the shop. Telling her what’s going on, she see what’s going on. Shocked herself! I thought by us going back to high school and she knew me, she would at least try to make it right. So when I came Monday, she washed me very good, several times! It felt better but still was on fire. So by that night, I’m in the ER with my whole face swollen. She’s right, the doctor didn’t say it was HER product, but he did say whatever was put on my scalp caused the reaction to my face! He said he’s an ER doctor not a hair doctor. But she said we would follow up with 2 treatments and she would try a stem on me. So my appointment was the following week after my face when down. After missing a week of work. So when I tried to book with her, she rescheduled me on a Wednesday, to a Thursday, she never did confirm a time, ask me was I still coming or nothing!”So now I’m pose to guess what time to come?”I already don’t be feeling like sitting in the shop a hour let alone 4 hours. Yesss! My appointment was at 4:30 and I didn’t leave till 8:30! But she never stood on her word! So after I told her how I felt, she said she no longer wants to provide services until I get checked out by a Dermatologist! But I never want you in my head again! While I was in the hospital, she called and texted a few times. I thought out of concern but I believe she didn’t want any problems or a lawsuit. Because she know she did this to my hair. Still to today, my head is still itching and flaking like hell! Hair shedding like craZy!! That’s why I really only go to her when I want my ends clipped. I do my own hair! But I’m so mad and upset because as a Professional Hairstylist she should want to make it right. As a Try- Cologist. As she say, but couldn’t tell me what was going on with my scalp! I can’t even spell the word, but I think you need to TRY again! But NOT on ME! NEVER AGAIN!"
