"First time visit. Had to try the famous orange- pineapple ice cream and I gotta say, it lived up to it's hype. Wonderful and very tasty. Also had a scoop of smoky mountain fudge and it was great also. Will definitely be back to try some other flavors as well as a few sandwichesaybe"
"I was born and raised in the Shoals, I don't know a single person that was that doesn't have memories at this place. Even my grandparents had memories of this place when they were little kids in the 1920's. My favorites: Orange-Pineapple Ice Cream, Banana Sandwich, Oh my Gosh(been a while, not sure if they still make these), Grilled Cheese with a pickle. Anyway, historically...this place has seen the evolution of the South/Shoals area for over a 100 years now. Nothing fancy and it just seems so perfect that way."
"It was blazing hot today with temps close to 100 so what better place to go but to Trowbridge's? I had a chicken salad sandwich toasted on white bread. For dessert, a Banana Split. This place is very unique and is reminiscent of a much simpler time. I highly recommend this, especially in the sweltering dog days of an Alabama summer."

"My wife and I visited this lil charming piece of nostalgia on a trip when we were celebrating the 40th anniversary of our 1st date. The Sat. afternoon in Feb was kinda chilly but many patrons were enjoying the goods here. They offered sandwiches and chips and so many deserts that it was so hard to choose. The place was full the whole time we were there and a few people chose takeout to get their delight. There were couples waiting for a table when we departed and the crew was working relentlessly to satisfy the desires of the customers. A very neat ice cream and more facility!"
