"This is a mainstay in my life. I am partial to Hill's for many reasons. Let me say this. The employees at the registers have not changed in my memory. And the manager is one tough cancer beating,working while fighting it, working long hours during that time period also. She was just unstoppable and worked her way into the management position because she deserved it. I feel great that a small grocery store that has been right where it is and has only had one major sign change since I can remember. I say that in a good way. This is one of those places that a community has supported and shopped locally so that it is still up and running. People have retired from this grocery store. That is just not something you see these days as often as we would like to. Imagine Food Giant in Hueytown. It's much the same. Imagine Julian's Hardware in Sylvan Springs. These are the small town stores that we just would not allow to be mowed over by a random conglomerate that truly doesn't ever feel like a mainstay does like Hill's.. love this place."
