"I really love this little part of Heinz Park. There are two resident swans that are there every day, even in the winter time. There are always flocks of geese and ducks and I just recently saw some hooded mergansers. Now that is a gorgeous bird. This area has a resident belted kingfisher who loves to fish from the telephone line that runs right along the path you need to take to the island. There is a bathroom here that is open during the spring summer and fall. Lots of people fish here but I've never seen anybody catch anything... And I mean never!!! ... So don't come to this spot looking to catch fish. It's just outside of historic downtown Plymouth... Not really a place to come to picnic though as there is only one grill... There's a pavilion on the other side of the street though that does have another larger grill but no electricity in the pavilion."

"A nice little spot to pull over and sit by the water and fish. There's a park across the street and well, it's a little older but still fun! The bathrooms are very clean as well."

"Has some nice walking paths. The dock is getting a little old but still nice to walk out on. I enjoy going in early morning or evening to get the sunrise sunset. Not to crowded. I miss the benches they used to have near the dock."
