"A disappointing visit! The wetland boardwalk trails were CLOSED, and so were the restrooms. Since the wetland trails are a highlight of this preserve, it would be helpful (& also courteous to park visitors) to post the trail closures at the park website and parking lot/pavilion area. This will be a 5 star experience WHEN/IF the boardwalk trails are reopened."

"It's a great park, although they could have better signs on how to get to the trails that connect to the rest of the trails/bike ways in Portage. The trails for this specific park are well maintained and beautiful. Lots of wildlife too! (Mostly squirrels and ducks, but I did see some rabbits & deer as well. My dog loved it!"

"Beautiful wooded walking path. Five stars when the bog is open and you can walk out to the water. But it hasn't been open when we went so only four stars. Not sure if it is closed for repairs or flooding."

"City of Portage has let the board walks leading out to the overlooks fall into disrepair. They need to spend time and remove the overgrown plants so the folks can enjoy it. Especially those with disabilities."

"Escape the busyness of the city, escape the stresses of work, escape the mindlessness of binge watching Netflix after a long day of work, escape the trap of endlessly scrolling on your instagram, Facebook, TikTok or all the above. Reconnect with nature, with mindfulness, gratefulness, happiness. Enjoy the great outdoors."
