"The wind is blowing strongly, and it's a real hoot to watch the kitesurfers. The staff at the office are as friendly as can be, and the camping ground facilities are spic and span. I highly recommend visiting this camping ground."

"We loved staying at site 113 second loop of channel campground. Staff was very nice. Site was right across from lake Muskegon and a nice beach area where you can watch the swans, the sailboats and occasional ferry. Restrooms were clean and shower areas clean and private."

"Nice campground. Clean restrooms. Being along the channel gave many opportunities to have fun. A ferry that passes through channel towards Wisconsin, Huge commercial barges can be seen from just few feet away. Just outside the campground (during entrance) is a beach to enjoy sunset."

"This campground wasn’t what we had hoped. The park itself is incredibly gorgeous and clean. The beach is pristine and is not busy during the week. But the campground was a little rough. Close sites, music from a venue across the channel playing into the night, and the bathrooms. The showers literally had mold in the corners, bugs everywhere, and water so rusty it tarnished the faucets and floors. Can’t be safe letting that spray long on your skin. We enjoyed the stay but can’t get past the bathrooms so we probably won’t be back. :("

"This is a nice campground, especially if you like watching ships go through the channel. The barges are REALLY LOUD if it's foggy though. You can see all across the inlet to the city, and watch all the boaters and fishermen through the day. There's a little bit of hiking in the dunes adjacent to the campground with a little beach on lake Muskgeon, or the beautiful Lake Michigan beach is a short drive or healthy length bike ride the other way. You do need a state park pass on any vehicle coming here. At time of writing the review, dogs were allowed, so expect some barking. Bathrooms were well kept. I would go back any day."
