"An institution. Yes the patties are small. Yes they are fried in a lot of grease. Yes they’re about half bread. But damn are they good for those who like this sort of thing. If you’re expecting a beefy flame broiled or grilled burger with all the fixings, go somewhere else. Otherwise, order a couple all the way (if you like raw onion) and I recommend adding some Louisiana hot sauce. And be nice to the ladies regardless of what kind of mood they’re in."

"In business since 1966. Raised on these. Family tradition. Ms. Helen has helped feed the poor and hungry people in the area for decades. My favorite is a double cheeseburger with ham and a fried egg. We have planned trips to north Alabama to coincide with their hours. My favorite burger place."

"i was not a fan, this wasnt for me. never saw fresh burgers come out, and the ones that were on grill was burnt in stacks, the burger was mushy on inside, was very confused by taste and texture."
