"I was referred to Russ by a retired carpenter. Russ was the first contractor in 30 years that we can honestly recommend without any hesitation in any way. We requested Russ to do projects at multiple locations. We requested to use our own materials and some projects required Russ to have materials. Russ listened to our requests, offered multiple suggestions to make the most use of space, materials, cost and time, which is important when doing multiple projects at once and not be pushed to just replace everything. Russ communicates better than any contractor we have used, stating timeline for the project, when he is able to start and finish a project and then will call or text daily and give updates on the status of the project. He will communicate material needs and specify why our materials may or may not work. In most cases Russ used our materials and sometimes had to be inventive to get them to work. We were impressed with the attention to detail that Russ gives every project and the quality of workmanship was amazing, especially when Russ had to make items work. Russ worked on a project replacing all the interior and exterior doors but most of the doors required craftsmanship to fit properly and we were impressed with the end result. We also ordered the incorrect sizes twice and Russ on the second order made it work and it look like it should have always been that way. Very impressive inside and out. Russ is also committed to fair pricing and not price gouging which is greatly appreciated. His price is fair and considerate of our dollars as well. Russ offers suggestions to improve home value but also remains budget conscious when increasing value is not the goal. Overall Russ is a top notch contractor, who is reliable, trustworthy, communicative, time conscious, attentive to detail, fair priced, with quality craftsmanship. We have projects lined up when Russ is available and in our opinion Russ is worth the wait."

"Russ is a very professional, responsive, hard worker. There is no project he will not tackle—his knowledge of the construction process is smart and cost efficient! We hired him to help install 10 new windows into an old space in our home. The work was quoted to take over 2 weeks, but when he came to assess everything, he got to work on removing the existing windows, and sure enough he was able to complete the work in a little over a week instead. He returned to the job multiple times to inspect the trim detail and painting - I was impressed with how much care he put into making sure it was aesthetically perfect. And once he was done, I truly appreciated his clean-up. I definitely plan to hire him again in the future."

"We chose Russ at Redtail to enclose our covered porch and convert it into a three season room. We went into the project hoping the room would turn out both functional as well as aesthetically pleasing, as we were looking for a way to give ourselves some additional living space during the warmer months and a room that provided us a place to hang our snow gear and provide a cold break from the remainder of the house in the winter. Russ not only met our expectations, but exceeded them in every way. Our biggest takeaway from working with Russ was his attention to detail. To find a contractor that WANTS to ensure the job is done correctly and looks great in the end can be a challenge, as some do the work just to get the job done. Russ doesn't work that way and it's obvious in the finished project. His quality of work is top notch, and that's why we will be having him do some work for us again in the near months remodeling a bathroom that we know may be equally challenging. Russ does great work at a fair price, and communicates well through the process which not every contractor does well. It's refreshing to find a contractor that you can trust, especially with projects that you can't be there to supervise or manage in person."
