Woodford Apartments

"I lived here almost a year, major Plumbing issues summer and winter, no running hot water for at least 2 months. Apartment 115 is right above laundry room and everything can be heard from it, and I developed a cough from smelling other people's laundry. it cost $400 for heat and electricity in the winter (the same as a house) leaks from the ceiling, I have flooding inside my walls period my electronics were ruined. Plumbing issues and heater heating issues and I have barely had any contact with management for about a month since the issue has happened..... Update after about a month my shower was fixed but I still cannot use my kitchen my kitchen ceiling it's not fixed"

"Hi Woodford Apartments Owner, I was checking out apartment complexes online to see which ones I wanted to set up tours with and, I found this one and went to check out the reviews. There’s a fine line between business principle and reputation and when you’re going back and forth with past tenants it puts a bad taste in potential future tenants. One of the FIRST things a consumer looks for when purchasing a product is good reviews but, when we see you going back and forth ask yourself something. Are you being professional?"

"I've been a tenet here for almost a year and I have to say it's been a really good experience. Work commute is ideal, it's about a five min drive to either the heart of Ferndale going North or to the heart of downtown Detroit going south. Being on the corner of Woodward and Ferris it's a straight shot to either. Yeah, the neighborhood has it's reputation. But since I've lived here it's just been quiet and I've never had any issues no matter where I've been in the area. The building is 100 years old but I have had maybe a couple of minor issues if any, and maintenance was on site the same day. Management stays on top of things and they remember who people are, it's personal but not invasive which I have always liked. Also, in my personal opinion, they are no BS and always straight forward with you. For those of you reading this and haven't had to deal with many landlords, that's incredibly rare. People have had their bad experiences from what I saw in other reviews here but I can't speak on that. Am I saying it's been perfect? No. But I honestly feel like for what I pay in rent alone, this is a steal and you can't find places like this often."

"Hello I’m Mel, been living in the Woodford Apartments going on two years in April. Since moving back home to Detroit from Los Angeles, I’ve enjoyed my stay at The Woodford Apts.. No real problems on my end. Friendly neighbors and good management, always had my issues taken care of on a timely manner. I made my apartment a little cozy spot that I’m happy with. No place is perfect but I can honestly say my stay at Woodford Apts have been very pleasant one."

"I’ve been living at The Woodford Apartments for a few years now, and have noticed a HUGE POSITIVE change under the current and new management! As a single female, I feel very safe here as they have recently installed multiple security cameras in the building, and the front door is always secure. Also, the location is amazing, I can easily ride my bike / drive / catch Uber to Midtown, as well as downtown, where I work and hang out a lot. The apt itself is an amazing value - beautifully renovated and very spacious - I have not found this anywhere else in Detroit (and I searched high and low!!!). The landlord and his maintenance staff are extremely professional and provide timely and stellar service whenever I’ve requested repairs. Also, besides the renovated units, they have also rehabbed the laundry room (new washers, dryers, even artwork!!! It’s like an art gallery lol) and been working on the courtyard, landscaping, and a new parking lot. Honestly, I never take the time to write reviews, but I am so impressed with the improvements and the staff here, I had to share my experience. I would recommend this building to my closest friends and family."
