"The crowd was enthusiastic. The devotion was incredible. The atmosphere surreal. You could really feel the hope on this particular Sunday. The Hail Mary at the end was like nothing seen before. Quarterback Justin Wagner's 219 yards passing was just enough to hold off the Hilliards Knights(2-6) to keep the Gun Lake Muskellunge's playoff hopes alive. In an up and down year for the Muskies involving the injury to star receiver Michael Winger Jr and the air hockey scandal involving head coach Yuri Karkoff, it's amazing that the Muskellunges (4-4) have been able to double their wins one year removed from a dismal and disappointing 2-10 record. The Muskellunges (4-4) travel to North Dorr next week to take on the General Stores (8-0) and their prolific passing attack."
